I have been taking coveram, but was then changed to amloc and perindopril, and since then I have had erectile dysfunction. I was told there could be a problem taking Quinipril and Avalide at the same time on a consistent basis because they are basically in the same class. Any truth to this? ## Is it ok to take magnesium while also taking quinipril? ## Yes, usually, you should take one or the other, though you may be able to take other blood pressure and cardiac medications, at the same time, according to FDA reports. Barb, it really depends on your blood pressure levels, since the FDA warns that Magnesium may also lower it, and cause drowsiness. How are you both doing?

I have to switch over from Amlodipine to Inderal La 120mg caps, but I haven't switched yet due to both interacting with each other (which can cause major reactions). I am suffering high blood pressure 150/84 and cholesterol. Can I take Ecosprin and Tazloc 40 together? Are there any side effects? ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Ecosprin (Aspirin) and Tazloc (Telmisartan). This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, so I still think it's imperative that you discuss this with your doctor first. However, I do tend to trust the research stemming from universities of this caliber. I need to know how long clonidine stays in your urine? I am on a methadone clinic and they just started taking levels of clonidine in our urine, if you are not prescribed, you get immediate discharge, no detox. Please help. ## I couldn't locate a definitive source for this answer, however a few references noted that Clonidine stays in your system for roughly 2-3 days for a urine test. Has anyone experienced itching all over plus itchy bumps on scalp. I weaned myself off of it awhile back and the itching and bumps pretty much went away but my blood pressure went up so dr put me back on it. I have been taking losartan 50 mg a day, but divided in the morning and night. As my dr noticed side effects, I was later prescribed 25 mg. It has been 10 days but I have serious cramps in my legs when I'm jogging or walking. I'll consult with my dr... My bp is 120/80. I am 75 year old. I take Beta card 50 mg since 40 years for my BP and Amlodipine 5 mg since 20 years.I also take Urimax 0.4 mg since 3 years for my prostatomegaly.Of late i am experiencing orthostatic hypotension when i suddenly standup after sitting for a long time or standing for a long time.I am told that either amlodipine or tomsulosin(urimax) may cause hypotension.Is it so? f on other side ## This pill is good, if your blood pressure is not very high. If your pressure is usually at about 135/80 - 145/85, this medication is great for you. My pressure most days doesn't go too high so if I take something stronger I usually become dizzy cause it dropped too much.. So I prefer this med cause it doesn't bring it too low.. ## Is that the complete imprint, or are there additional markings on the tablet? Can one of you post back and clarify? I had a nasal turbinate reduction surgery two weeks ago. After that, I developed shortness of breath and found blood oxygen level fluctuating between 81-98 per oximeter. Whenever it hit below 90, I wake up from the sleep at night. I have been taking blood pressure medicine Benecar 20mg/ Amlodipine 5mg/ Hydroclorot 12.5mg for years. I also took Cephalexin 500mg two times a day for 8 days after the surgery. Any clue on why this is happening ? ## Have you ever had a sleep study done? You might be experiencing sleep apnea. If it was to treat high blood pressure, or a cardiac condition, then it might not be safe for you to stop taking it, since the FDA warns that stopping it could cause dangerously elevated levels to your blood pressure, and heart rate.
