Two questions...Has anyone taking Toprol XL experienced extreme bouts of lightheadedness, but not to the point of dizziness? Has anyone taken Toprol XL and estrogen replacement? Thanks for your time and input. ## My husband (Larry) after having open heart surgery was prescription Topazole for an enlarged thyroid gland . Is this a serious disease as suggested and why not synthroid pills. ## The difference in what is prescribed, depends on what type of thyroid issue he has, what is causing it to be enlarged. A person can have either and overactive or an underactive thyroid. Since Tapazole is an antithyroid medications, I have to assume then, that his is over active. natural subsitutes/to replace/lisinopril ## There are many alternatives to controlling and/or lowering blood pressure. In my opinion the safest and most logical method would be to control what foods you put into your body. Many acidic foods that are high in sodium such as chips, lunch meats and canned foods can easily cause an unbalance in ones blood pressure if consumed on a regular basis. I am no MD, but my advice would be to eat more alkaline foods. Alkaline foods balance out your entire body's PH level, which effects blood pressure as well. Try to search through google for an alkaline food chart.
