I was prescribed cyclobenzaprine 5mg 3 times daily as needed for discomfort and diclofenac pot. 50mg once daily. My complaint was neck and shoulder pain. I was given an xray and was told it could be degenerative joint disease. I take Valsartan/hctz half of a 25mg pill. I went to the doctor for an unrelated issue. BP was high 200/95. Might be situational but she had me start a regime of .1mg of Clonidine 2 times per day. Took the first one at 7pm. BP was normal at 6 am. Can it work that fast or was my high BP situational? ## Hello, Scoop! How are you? Clonidine is known to work well and fast, but it wouldn't take it down to normal that fast, so it could be that your elevated blood pressure was situational. I have been taking candestartan for several years starting at 4mg and then halving the tablets to 2 mg and with consultation with my GP along with some lifestyle changes have agreed to stop altogether with close blood pressure monitoring.
