Do you mean they are not helping to control your blood sugar, or aren't helping with weight loss? Because, both are used to help with blood sugar, but aren't intended as weight loss medications.
The stomach pain and gassy bloating may be side effects to these medications, but you should double check with your doctor.
As to losing weight? Are you exercising and watching your diet?
