Hi I'm 23 y/o married. Been taking oralcon for almost a month but I had a bad feeling over it, I feel pain in my lower abdomin, is these really normal? ## Hello, Aries! How are you? Yes, that can be a side effect of this oral contraceptive, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting and PMS-like symptoms. These side effects usually last for the first couple of months, then go away. However, if it gets too severe or doesn't go away, you should consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?
My marriage is in 2 days and my menstrual cycle started in spite of taking medicine to temporarily stop it. What to do? I'm concerned. ## The best method to stop your period is to take contraceptives or birth control. Before you take you should see your gynecologist or local doctor who will give you advice on which type will ideal suit your requirements. Your doctor will describe what to be expecting, what dosage to take, and also any risks involved. Birth control pills inhibit fertilization and ovulation. They can be in a patch form, IV or oral. The best way to stop periods is to use oral contraceptives in pill form. These pills must be taken one cycle before the period that you do not want to have. When consumed on a regular basis as directed, you will stop getting periods. Once y...
I just had a baby on October 6th 2015. I am not yet on birth control. I was intimate with my partner on November 8th 2015. I took a Plan B emergency contraceptive on November 9th 2015 but within 10-15 minutes after taking the pill I vomited. What are the chances I could get pregnant again? ## If you've been having regular periods, again, which will usually signify ovulation, then there is a risk of pregnancy. However, the only way to know is by waiting to see if you get your next period on time, unless your doctor feels otherwise. The FDA lists the typical side effects of emergency contraception as also possibly including dizziness, headache, irritability and breakthrough bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have not resumed having my normal period. ## My Girlfrien...

Yes, that can be a normal side effect of oral contraceptives, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache and PMS-like symptoms. Unless your doctor feels there is reason for concern, it's usually not anything to worry about. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My doctor says that this is okay I just feel like it's not normal. To not be getting my period at ...
Hi, I've been on minastrin fe for 5 months now and I'm still getting my period every month during the brown pills and it is heavy and painful. Shouldn't my period have stopped by now or is my body still getting used to the hormones? ## Hello, Kim! How are you? Not every woman stops having periods, while taking oral contraceptives, so that may not change. Some women do, but really you are supposed to continue having your period during the placebo week. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

JUST WANTED TO know if anyone taking this one had a problem with weight gain, im very nervous that it will make me gain weigh,,,,, ## Hi debby, When it comes to birth control pills, weight gain happens to be a "very common" side effect for any brand of oral contraceptive. This is mostly because of the fluctuations in your hormones. I wouldn't necessarily be afraid of gaining weight though as long as your exercising daily, staying hydrated, and eating an otherwise healthy diet. A list of side effects for Mono-Linyah (ethinyl estradiol/norgestimate) can be found here: dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?id=76450#nlm34084-4 I hope this helps! ## I gained 20lbs from it and I work out and eat like a rabbit. I'm gluten intolerant so I eat low carb. I'm struggling to...
I have missed my period the last 3 months, I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative, can I start taking sprintec or do I need to go see a doctor? ## Hello, Megan! How are you? If you've not consulted your doctor about the issue, then it would be best to do so, before starting the Sprintec, to be safe. You may be experiencing a hormonal imbalance and might need a different hormonal dosage to correct the issue. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, PMS-like symptoms and breakthrough bleeding. Are you on any other medications? Have you ever experienced irregularities like this, before? ## I have experienced irregularities before. My mom has PCOS and believes I might have it ## And I'm not on any oth...
Hello, I did not take the placebo pills this month and thought yesterday was Thursday instead of today so I took my pill a day early. Do I still take it tonight and just start on Wednesdays moving forward? ## Yep, you can do that, unless your doctor directs otherwise. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, PMS-like symptoms and spotting. Is there anything else I can help with?
PLEASE AAP TIME PERIOD TABLET KA NAME BATAYE JIS SE KI TIME PERIOD 2-4 DIN MAIN START HO JAYE ## Speak with your doctor and look into hormonal contraceptives. Even if you are not using them for birth control, many people take them off label in order to alter the timing of their menstrual cycles. Your doctor will review your full medical history and determine which approach may be the safest and most effective for you.
It's been a very long time since I've been on the pill. I began a few weeks ago & have 2 white pills left. Years ago, I always knew when my period would begin and one of the advantages of the pill was regularity of my period. It seems, from what I've read, that has all changed and it is now common to miss a period or more. I found this forum looking for info on what #day to expect my period but haven't found anything like that. Do I just wait & see what happens? Kinda frustrating... ## Hello, Rose! How are you? Does your pack have the four maroon colored pills in it? I'm not sure if you have the name brand or a generic. However, the last 4 pills that are colored differently should be when you get your period, within a day or two of taking the first one. The F...
I had the Implanon fitted in May 2013 after having my first child and since having it fitted i've had pains in my arm. Put slight pressure on my arm or even carrying a bag for a small amount of time or even holding my phone makes it numb. But lately i've always been regular with my periods and for the past two months i've not had a single one. I had one spot of discharge and that was it. Partner seems to think it's cause it's nearing its expire date. But i've also started to have nausea and keep feeling little bumps and movements. I know its in my mind but it's starting to get to the point of being worried now. I've had another implanon before this one but never had any issues. Has anyone else experienced this?
Updated in ImplanonI started taking bc a few years ago in order to regulate my abnormal period which back then was usually a couple of weeks long and very painful. I switched to minastrin 24 fe in July after getting a new obgyn. Everything was fine for a while, I have not missed any pills and I have taken them about the same time everyday. Last month I went on a cruise for a week and during that cruise I took the last pill in my pack and have yet to get a refill but have not been intimate since finishing. Normally my period starts right after I finish a pack but I didn't have one at all. The week before the cruise my boyfriend and I were intimate and we used the pullout method. My last normal period was near my birthday in November. Now it is the start of the new year and I am cramping like I am on my...

what are those medicines that can cause miscarriage? ## Miscarriage WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW Miscarriage is the loss of a pregnancy before the growing baby is born. This usually occurs within the first 20 weeks of pregnancy. There is nothing you can do to prevent a miscarriage. However, you can still get pregnant again and have a healthy baby. Causes It may not be known why you miscarried. A miscarriage is your body's way of dealing with a baby that was not growing normally. Health problems of the mother can lead to miscarriage. Smoking, drinking alcohol, or drug abuse can also cause miscarriage. Having sex, exercising, working, suffering a minor fall, or using birth control pills before pregnancy does not cause miscarriage. Often, no reason for the miscarriage can be found. Signs/Sympt...
I started Loestrin Fe three months ago, and a day or two before I was supposed to get my period (which maybe the reason my cycle is so messed up). I get my period in the middle of the pack, but nothing at all on the placebo pills. Is it still safe to have intercourse if this is the case? ## Hello Mars! How are you? Yes, when you have your period actually doesn't matter, as long as you don't miss any active tablets, then they will suppress ovulation and prevent pregnancy. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, weight gain and PMS-like symptoms. If you're concerned, please speak to your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I started lo loestren fe when I started my period. I have been bleeding for...
