I have PCOS and Dr suggested me to take Krimson 35. It has been 5 days but till now i didn't get my periods. Could u please let me know after how many days of having this tablet will I get my periods? ## I have PCOS dr suggest me to take krimson35. It has been 7 days but till now I didn't get my periods but some sports. Could u plz let me know why this happened. .? ## This is a hormonal contraceptive, so it will not induce a period immediately, it will usually occur the last week, when you are no longer taking the hormonal tablets. The NIH lists its other side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irregular bleeding, mood changes, and weight changes. Are there any other questions?

I was on Angeliq 1/2 for 7 weeks and it was fantastic. My sweats had gone and I felt good and my aches and pains felt better. I then got a bad chest infection and fatigue set in. I am just not sure if it is the flu or the Angeliq that has caused the extreme fatigue I am now suffering. Would Angeliq cause fatigue 7 weeks into taking it? I have stopped it to see how I go. ## I am not a doctor, but my best guest would be that the fatigue is most likely due to the flu, or whatever viral illness you are suffering. The NIH does warn that you might experience it, when ill with one, along with headache, nausea, and dizziness. Do you take any other medications? What dosage of Angeliq do you currently take? ## am on Angeliq 1/2. I am feeling a little better but have severe pains in my back and ri...

I’ve been on Lo Loestrin for almost two months which was prescribed to me because large amounts of hormones make me very depressed. ive experienced extreme mood swings, daily cramping and bleeding, anxiety attacks (which ive never had before), and overall discomfort. i was happy to find that my first period was very light and had little to no cramping since my normal periods are very heavy and painful. however, the second period was extremely painful with nonstop cramps and heavy bleeding, is this normal? will my periods be this heavy from now on? and if so, should I switch to another form of bc? ## While cramping and bleeding can be normal side effects, according to FDA reports, they should not be that severe, so yes, you may need to try a different brand of hormonal contraceptiv...

I have had nexplanon for a month. My boyfriend and I had intercourse and i was wondering if i could take a plan-b pill just to be safe because i have three kids already and my youngest is two months old. I'm not ready for another one. ## Hello, Miajade! How are you? If you have the Nexplanon, then there should be no need to take Plan B. It is effective at preventing pregnancy, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise. Side effects to the implant may include irregular menstrual bleeding, headaches, mood swings and cramps. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I've had the implant birth control on my arm for about 2 months. I was intimate with my boyfriend and he came inside me for the first time. Do i need the plan b or am i okay? I'm scared... And also I've been ...

Started in Nov last year using Nur istate . Haven't gain weight. Just removed implant due to excessive bleeding . And lost a lot of weight really want to gain this time around. Hoping 2months injection might help me,do both prevent and gain weight but seems nothing is happening. Or is it too soon. ## There is no guarantee that you will gain weight using it, though that can be a side effect of this hormonal contraceptive. It is also only a temporary side effect, so if someone does gain weight while taking it, they will most likely lose it, once they stop using it. The NIH also lists other side effects as possibly including headache, irregular periods, and mood changes. Are there any questions I can help with?

Hi, my chemist sister did not have nordette in stock and said that oralcon is exactly the same as nordette and supplied me with 3 months supply. However, I have been semi bleeding as in brown and black blood from day 4 of taking these tablets- every single day. Some days a sudden blob of red blood came. I took my last white tablet today and have been wearing a sanitary pad whole way thru. Suppose to start with my normal period tomorrow. Is this normal? my system is very confused at the moment. ## Hello, Heloise! How are you? Has there been any change? That can be a side effect of taking oral contraceptives, according to the U.S. FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. If it doesn't change, in a few months, you should consult your doctor. ## Hi, I've b...

I was just put on mono Linyah. My dr told me to take the first pill the Sunday after I started my period. I started my period on a Friday, took the first pill on Sunday. I’m not supposed to have my next period for 20 days, but I start the white pills in 14 days. I thought you were supposed to start your period on the day of the first white pill? ## It is normal for your menstrual cycle to change, when you are taking a hormonal contraceptive, according to FDA notes. You may also experience other side effects that could include nausea, dizziness, headache, and spotting. If any symptoms become too problematic, or if you bleed to heavily, you should inform your doctor, as it may not be the right one for you to take, so you might have to try a different one. How are you doing, now?

So long story short, me and my girlfriend got frisky and I came on her vag but she was wearing 2 layers of clothes (leggings and underwear) but it appears to have seeped through and she complained to me about a strange feeling all night and in the next morning. She was ovulating at the time when I came on her and what came out of her was thick and white I said it could be vaginal discharge as it was the logical thing to say but it can also be semen if any got in her. and she also panicked thinking it was semen. Around 18 hours after I came on her I got her plan B to just make sure she doesn’t get pregnant l. She started feeling pregnancy symptoms/the side effects of plan B (Nausea and headaches, etc). Her concern is that the pill won’t work even though it has such a high per...

I started sprintec 3 weeks ago. Started taking the first blue pill the day my period started. I am now on the 2nd white pill and i am spotting just alil bit and at first it was a brown color. I shouldn't have my period til about the 9th or so, is it common to have an early period when just starting 3 weeks ago? Do i continue the white pills til i start my new pack? Is this normal? ## These are hormonal based contraceptives, so they will alter your natural cycle and you will get your period, from now on, during the week of the white tablets. They are placebo tablets that contain no hormones, they are specifically intended to cause a withdrawal bleed. And yes, since you started it while menstruating, it means you're going to have your period earlier than normal this time, but they...

I still have jadelle but it expired last year. I was having my normal periods but just this month i missed my period, having morning sickness, vomiting, painful breasts and period pains. So I took a pregnancy test 5 days after i missed my periods but it's still negative. Is it normal? I'm very worried. ## If the contraceptive has expired and you've been engaging in intercourse, then yes, there is a risk of pregnancy. 5 days might be too soon for it to be detected. However, all the symptoms you've described can be signs of pregnancy, according to the NIH. But, they can also be signs of hormonal fluctuations from it expiring and your body trying to balance your hormones back out on its own. Have you consulted your doctor? ## My Jadelle has expired since the 8th of Jan 2017...

I have been taking Lo loestrin for about a year now. Recently I moved to Oregon and skipped two periods by back-to-backing packs. Since I have done this I have noticed severe cramping and mood swings right around when I should be on my period. So this month I decided to try and have one to get my body to stop being so harsh when it usually isn't. Here is the problem. I am not starting. I am about to start the blue pills again and there are no signs of spotting. I am particularly nervous because last month I was all over the place with timing of my pills. There were probably 3 or 4 days (not all at once) that I had forgotten and had to double up the next day. Is this okay? I am pretty stressed and I know that sometimes stress can be a huge factor. Just want to know if I should contin...

I was wondering if anyone has heard of beng pregnant on implanon? I've had it in for over a year. It made my periods last longer and heavier. Well I haven't had it for 2 months now (I know it can stop) but the last week I've felt really light headed. I've had really sore boobs and will randomly feel sick to the stomach and certain smells cause it... please give me your advice ## Hi Dallas, To my understanding, it can sometimes take up to a few months to get hormonal contraceptives completely out of your system. So based on your description, it sounds to me like your hormones may have just been fluctuating throughout the time you stopped using the medication (possibly resulting in those side effects). I could be wrong in assuming that, so I would definitely encourage you ...

In February, my pharmacy told me that the birth control I was on (sprintec) was back ordered. They offered mono-linyah (a generic equivalent) for me to use. Turns out, I liked mono-linyah way more than I liked sprintec. Now, however, my pharmacy is back to carrying sprintec. Does anyone know of any pharmacies that have mono linyah as a generic? ## They should be able to order the other one back in for you, if you ask them. However, if it costs more than the Sprintec, then your insurance would most likely only cover the lower amount and you'd have to pay the difference out of pocket. Additionally, without knowing your location, it's hard for anyone to make any suggestions. This website is open to people all over the world, so if you're located in Philadelphia and I suggest a ...

I have a problem of severe pain in lower abdomen during periods. What should be the cause of it? ## Seer, irregular bleeding can be a normal side effect of contraceptive inserts, according to FDA reports, you may also experience nausea, headache, dizziness, mood changes, and weight changes. Has there been any change, yet? Neha, have you consulted a doctor? It could just be due to cramps. Some women do experience severe cramping, while on their period. Are you on any medications?
