I have BiPolar as well as epilepsy. I been using Lamictin (250Mg) since 2003. I have change to Epitec (250Mg)a month ago. First thing I want to tell people, go and let a medical practioner check your lamictin level. It should be between 4 and 12. So you can know how much to use. I also used Epanuitin (300Mg) before Lamictin. It gave me bumps in my fore arms thats why I change to Lamictin. Lamictin did not give me headaches but I got disorientated from time to time. Lamictin also are very influeinced by alcohol while it seems epitec are more tollerant. However I prefer Lamictin, the side effects are more acceptable. Anger cost at the end more. My son is very nervous because of Tegretol 200mg, he is taking it for almost 3 years. ## Hi, Fatiha! What do you mean by nervous? Do you mean the medication is causing him to feel nervous, or that he is worried about having been on it for so long? who is the manufacturer and their address ## I've been taking lithium carbonate for many years. Having gone off it for six months (before the Hopkins study showed that this reduced efficacy) I have been in a position to supplement it. My therapist hit on lomictal. (One of my main symptoms is recurrent anxiety, taking the lithium by itself.) I've been takting the lomictal at a low dose for three weeks and it seems to work. Except yesterday the anxiety--clearly of a biochemical rhythm--came back. It's a low level, but still interferes with work and family. Dear Sir, I am ananth . I am under anti depresent since 1 992 like Clofranil . Subsequently in 2004 one day i taken over dose Tini i.e Tinidozole for my GITI which by next morning just numbness in my face . for which i was presicrbed tegretol and later to oxetol 300 . since 2005 i am under oxetol 300 per day in night . i am sufferring regularly from various side effects like GITI , Upperespiratory Track infection , improper Bowl movement fatigue , dizzizness etc.. i am otherwise had never any epilepsy attck till date. Doctor advised me to stop it on tappering basis . But some how i am unable to do so as i feel restless when i stop it next day. and uncomforatble in stomach . Offcourse i know its due to addiction. But i am scared please advise further.

I located a capsule in my daughters room that is pink on one end and either light pink or white on the other. it has the letters P.R.L on the pink side and three zeros or O's with a line in the middle from left to right of all three I have not been able to locate this capsule in the pdr or pill identifier on the internet. the bottle says the contents is 300 mg lithium but when I pull up lithium in the PDR it does not show me a picture of the capsule in my hand ## I haven't been able to find anything listed for this, either. However, is there any other information on the bottle, such as the manufacturer? Pharmacy information, or etc? And additional details you can provide would help narrow down where to look.

A close relative has been prescribed to use this drug. can I know how soon it can take to stop his absence seizures that he experiences on a daily basis?. He has previously used tegretol and lamictal but the seizures still occur. ## I'm sorry, but there's really no way for anyone to say. If it works for him, it may take several weeks to see the full effect and for it to completely control the seizures. But there is also a chance that it may not work, just like the others. Please i need to know what this pill is I found it in my daughters room and here lately her attitude has been horrible ## The tablet with the TARO 11 marking contains 200mgs of Carbamazepine, which is an anticonvulsant that's also used as a mood stabilizer. my pharmacy changed medicine on me... again...on my 'generic' carbamazepine . called them up and i mentioned to the girl that i have been prescribed the yellow 'carbs' with NC*200 on it for 2-3 years...now i am getting a capsule i took when i was younger and it was called 'tegretol'...it is half teal and gray capsule with what i can make out S433 .she said it is a 200 mg ER capsule carbamazepine . AND what i take are not tegretol at all...i am so confused...this is a nation-wide pharmacy... ## That is correct, Tegretol is the name brand and the time released ones are actually tablets with a circle and T logo on them. I have been suffering from acute sleep deprivation and found it very difficult to get expert advice or understanding. It seems that people associate the term 'sleep deprivation' with tiredness - or something like 'jet lag' - rather than the mordantly frightening experience I have gone through. At times I thought my brain, as an 'organ', physiologically speaking, was going to break. At one time I could not, I mean literally could not, ascend the stairs. I had to prop the toilet door open because of the noise it made when opened. I ended up shouting at my son, who I love dearly and am usually tender and negotiative with, simply because he wouldn't stop talking/advising about a particular issue. This pill is scored on one side and has 224 on the other. with very similar #4 as typed here. It is white, round and about the size of a pencil's eraser. ## I haven't found a definitive ID on this pill, but from what other's have mentioned, an "off-white" round pill marked 224 is 450mgs of Lithium Carbonate Extended Release. NOTE: the number "4" is as you described it to be, but it also has what looks like a letter "G" on the other side of the pill, sitting above the score line. I first took seizures just 5 weeks ago after having a small stroke. Doctor put me on Tegretol and I was hopeful that would be the end of the seizures. Now after just 5 weeks I have taken another seizure. I did have 2 bottles of beer and 2 tins of cider over 8 hours. Does anyone think this caused the seizure. ## Alchol, caffeine, TV, loud noises/music, stress, blinking lights, the spin of a roulette wheel,mahjong tile shuffling, even very hot baths - almost anything that negatively stimulates a brain prone to seizures can bring on a seizure. I'm getting a drug teast for a new job and take valium(diazapam) and lithium carbonate. How will this effect my test, will it be positive. Can I stop taking these perscribed drugs for the short time before the test or do they stay in the blood for a long time?

Who has had successful or as close as possible ,drug for treating bipolar . I have been down the list and eventually they don't work anymore . I have use lithium tegretol lamictin topamax . I am on neurontin and take cymbalta -the horror drug - I can't get off it the discontinuation symptoms drive me staight back to taking it . Have been off it for 14 days and the pain in root of nose plus continuos heavy salivation left me dehydrated and no pain meds work. The symptoms and pain dissapear within 1/2 hour of taking cymbalta ! BUT after 5 days of taking it again , the most violent suicide thoughts claim my brain and the body tension is enormous when ever I am stressed or face conflict situations . My brain flies straight to suicide and I have to take a traquilisser to calm myself ...

Does anybody know what these are. A friend of mine has them and somebody told her they were lithium. It's a round white pill, about the size of an aspirin marked with 224 on one side and either a 6 or a G underlined on the opposite side. ## This is a Lithium tablet, they contain 450mgs of it, to be exact.
