Betaloc 25 And Cardace

I am using Betlac25 and cardace2.5 from last two years. Now shall I discontinue Betalac25 ?

What has your doctor advised?

Have you been on them for hypertension? If so, what are your blood pressure levels?

Betaloc contains the active ingredient Metoprolol, it is a beta blockers used to treat high blood pressure and some cardiac issues.

Cardace contains the active ingredient Ramipril, it's an ACE inhibitor that is also used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions.

However, only your doctor can advise you on whether or not it is safe for you to change your medication regimen, because your blood pressure and cardiac function have to be taken under consideration, when doing so.

In addition, the Betaloc, which contains the Metoprolol, can be stopped abruptly, it has to be slowly tapered. If you just suddenly stop taking it, it can cause severe rebound effects, which could put you in danger of a heart attack or stroke.

I AM USING Betaloc 25 ALONGWITH AMLONG 2.5 MG FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS FOR BP. NOW THAT BETALAC 25 IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET DUE TO PROBLEMS IN THE COMPANY. CAN YOU SUGGEST EQUIVALENT MEDICINES OR ELSE I HAVE TO CONSULT A DOCTOR.

METOLAR XR 25 OR 50 AS PER YR USING DOSE IS AVAILABLE IN MARKET, SO BETALOC SUBSTITUTE IS METOLAR XR.

kindly consult your doctor. substitutes of betalac ( Metoprolol preparation like Metolar-25 and the like) are available in the market.
