Betacap Plus 5mg

My doctor has given Betacap Plus 5mg to my son who is 17 yrs old, whose head keeps on hurting. I'd like to know what this medication is usually prescribed for?

This contains the active ingredients Propranolol and Flunarizine, which are used to treat high blood pressure and migraine headaches.

Common side effects may include: nausea, headache, dizziness and stomach pain.

My doctor also prescribed the same medication for my migraine headache. Can anyone tell me more about the possible side effects of this medicine?

I have been taking betacap plus (5 mg) for 1 month for migraine relief, but I would like to gradually stop. How do I do it? Can I take the tablet every alternate day or a 1/2 tablet each day?
