Unfortunately the only way to find out what works best for you and what doesn't is through the process of trial and error and working with your doctor.
There may be meds that are stronger or more effective than others in eliminating the pain, but if it causes too many side effects then what good will it do in the long run? Trial and error will help you narrow down your preferences.
NSAID's (aspirin, ibuprofen, diclofenac, naproxen, motrin, indomethacin), opiates/opioids, muscle relaxers, anxiety medication, natural alternatives (turmeric / kratom / CBD / THC), probiotics, digestive enzymes, etc, have all been touted for reducing GI tract pain or mental triggers of such pain in some form or another, but because we all respond differently, the only way to know if something works is to try it for yourself.
The best we can do from an outside perspective is to offer suggestions (including those options mentioned above).
I realize this isn't exactly what you wanted to hear, but hopefully something I mentioned can be of use to you in your unique situation.
Wishing you good health always!
Ea, have you been given any sort of official diagnosis as to what is causing the intestinal pain? If it's something like IBS then a fennel tea might help. Hopefully it's not something like colitis or crohn's. My cousin was diagnosed with crohn's and the only thing helping her at this point are Remicade infusions. Best wishes to you!
