Best Generic Alprazolam (xanax) (Page 2) (Top voted first)

I have been getting the 2mg Greenstones the last few years and they work much better than the Actavis. Now i read that greenstones were changed back in early 2014. Is it people that take these to feel high or people who really need them for anxiety and nothing else? Regardless if they have been changed they're still much better Actavis and I have heard mixed results on Sandoz. Dava seems to be crap. Took it once (looks to be from Endo who bought out Qualitest). Any opinions on the current state of the generic xanax manufactures? And lastly, no insurance company will give me the name brand. It's generic or nothing.

That means time for new pharmacy. Don't give them your business and money if they aren't catering to you and your needs.

I am curious tho if anyone can compare the greenstone xrs to the new auribindo ers, sandoz, activas? I never steered from my Dr greenstone 2mg but my pharmacy told me today they originally dispense auribindo ones on that and my g reenstones on order in a few days but want to know anyone out there ever try auribindo and greenstone xr alprazolam and have a good comparison?

No I've never tried any XR formulation of alprazolam. Based on the poor quality of Aurobindo's other meds i'd definitely try to avoid them. I know you already got a sufficient answer but thought I'd chime in anyway. Good luck.

Hey Mason, i have been taking Dava for awhile. I dont have a problem with the 2mg green bar. But one thing that's I've noticed lately. The bottles always smell like glue. I feel like this means the pills are cheap and changed somehow. Do you know since you seem to be the only one that knows what their talking about?

Do you know of any chain pharmacy that use Greenstone? I called my insurance company and if I don’t use alprazolam I get nothing. If I go to the review committee the best I can get is $350.00 a month for 1 mg. I asked Walgreens what a prescription would cost for 30 a month and they said $900.00. OMG! Just to let whoever reads this NEVER fill your alprazolam RX to Walmart. It didn’t work at all. I brought two bottles back to the doctor to show him I had not used them but had given Walmart a second chance to see if it was a one time thing that the prescription was useless. I am sitting with a new RX but haven’t filled it because I cannot afford to get another useless Xanax. I am using the last 1 mg. which is green and oblong which has at least some effect. It came from Optum RX and I cannot use them any longer since I went on my Medicare Caremark plan. My representative who helped me decide Caremark would be my cheapest option had zero knowledge of their billing practices. I can’t wait until October to opt out of their program. Please help me. I am unable to function without Xanax for my anxiety and insomnia.

Eddy is a creeper. He is on all threads and honestly seems like a fed or pharma sales person or someone in the field. Don't take his advice. He is like trolling all posts. Nest diazepam is now activas who bought out watson who still use the watson formulation for diazepam. The ones with dan imprints are by far the best generic available. Eddy is on the fed pharma side trolling safe forming. If u get diazepam get the activas / watson / mayne pharma ones with the Dan imprint on one side. Stay the hell away from teva and mylan as both are so bad. Also stay away from eddy lol.

everyone has different issues and diseases when needed you can get a rx for up to 6 mg a day but that's the most anything else is a crooked doc. you r paying them if they won't raise your dose time to find a new doctor who will and will put your money to good use and stop wasting it on a doctor that won't even raise your dose over years. maybe he thinks you are good where you are at. remebe guys we are paying these doctors insurance companies and pharmacist money money money if you arent getting what you "need" time to look for a doc that will help if not time to tell your doc your paying them and if they can't even raise u from .5 over so long that you will give all that insurance and out of pocket money to a doc that will

All meds especially generic smell like glue to a degree, even brand name 3mg xr xanax. In this day we don't know what real meds are. We are in an era of s***ty generics, no brand name and bad chemicals. Just stay away from teva, mylan and a few others; and glue is how alprazolam smells. Better glue some more alpraz and yes dava is decent but a sleeper dose type. Here to help any way.

Sorry everyone, it's been a harsh month being sick with the flu. I have responded to all inquiries for everyone and corrections and feedback. Most are in review but should be up very soon. Please get back with feedback and news and everyone stay away from eddy. He is almost on every forum on meds chat and trolls people. Either a doctor, pharmacist, insurance people or fed. Hiya all... I've been taking a generic xanax for quite a while... years. This past year my state passed a law on controlled substances so doctors have been much more restrictive on giving prescriptions. My doc lives in another state, as I skype with her. My pharmacy wouldn't fill the prescription. Finding a good local doctor that can help me with my anxiety is extremely tough. Looking for any help or suggestions! This forum is very informative :)

Mine are manufactured in Infia also. When I called CVS they just blew it off then I read the ADA sends them letters because of so many complaints! I DONT WANT DRUGS FROM A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY!

My area pharmacies only have Aurobindo and Teva for pretty much all stimulants, benzos, and z-drugs. I have had negative experiences with both generics for several medications. We only have CVS and Walgreens here with one mom and pop pharmacy. CVS and Walgreens told me they could not get Greenstone because their wholesaler did not offer it, and didn't know how long it would take to get brand??? I went to the mom and pop and they had brand name Xanax. More expensive, but worth it. Anyone who can afford brand name for any scheduled drug should avoid generics. Those in charge are doing something screwy with the generics of what they stupidly call "drugs of abuse", and patients in need of these medications are paying the price (literally and figuratively).

i agree. the generic s for xanax are all different. had a good one for years from winn dixie but they changed mfg. so far can't find any the same. wish i could find the old bottle cause the mfg is on it.

Hi French, I can relate to what you are saying about generic xanax, I got mine refilled many years at CVS and this time they were sandoz. I take 1mg. This bottle in July smelled so bad I was afraid take them. I had the same one before and they never smelled like this so I was lucky I had some left over from last time. Here's my problem, I was going to call CVS to tell them but I have been calling there about my beta blocker ATENONOL which changed manufacturers to Teva. Well I never took anything but Mylan Atenonol since 1985 for BP palpitations - you can't miss a dose. Well theirs back ordered since July and still isn't resolved so I tried so hard get all the info on why & what's going on. I called mylan manufacturer and the lady said she doesn't know yet, which is scary because the 'beta blocker girl pharm tech' at CVS got smart with me and said well don't take any... how rude? I can't skip a day. I called all pharmacy's in my area and they all don't know what's going on with antenolol. So here's what I'm saying, because that girl was rude to me a few times at CVS. I was afraid to call back and tell them my sandoz xanax smelled really bad... no one seems to care... I suffer from severe anxiety and this is making it worse. We have a new pharmacist working at CVS... I never had a bottle of xanax smell like this, I'm so upset as this is the CVS closest to where I live. Now I don't want ask a question since they're so rude. So I can relate to how you feel. I was going ask for a manager but am sure she's rude also. Good luck to you.

Not everyone want's to take a pill., I have a hot spot in my brain did sleep studies that entails shave hair put electrdo's to monator brain waves, w/and w/out medication(I spent 3 day's and nights in the hospital) M.R.I.'s of my brain. Overactive Beta !!! . Did you ever hear of emotional distress? I can have a mini brown outs. I must take this medication 4x a day. If you have you'r health God Bless You !!! Please do not judge a book by the cover. And was just released frm. Hosp. More tests ect... to tired to check spelling. I am sure you can. GOD BLESS THE HEALTHY PEOPLE

Another honorable mention for the post to come being reviewed I forgot is par pharma(qualitest) they are good and compare to a mix of dava greens and activas yellowss..Greenstone still best tho but haven't tried Boca yet but very experienced..my post should be up soon and hooe it helps everyone
