Best Generic Alprazolam (xanax) (Page 4) (Top voted first)

I have been getting the 2mg Greenstones the last few years and they work much better than the Actavis. Now i read that greenstones were changed back in early 2014. Is it people that take these to feel high or people who really need them for anxiety and nothing else? Regardless if they have been changed they're still much better Actavis and I have heard mixed results on Sandoz. Dava seems to be crap. Took it once (looks to be from Endo who bought out Qualitest). Any opinions on the current state of the generic xanax manufactures? And lastly, no insurance company will give me the name brand. It's generic or nothing.

I’m only two years late hopefully you’re still able to reply I was just reading this and I’m really hoping to get your take on “Mylan pharmaceuticals“ and would you also say that green stone pharmaceuticals to this day is still the best? And because it’s so difficult to even get these medications much less change the brand name what is your take on wall greens as far as Their ability to get the green stone Xanax?

I've been on subutex and Xanax for 7 years now. I tried to kick the Xanax once and it was WAY worse than the 20+ times I kicked opiates cold turkey. I've never ever felt that weird, sick and like I was losing my mind! Very scary s***. Now I'm tapering down I was getting 60 2 mg a month now I'm getting 45 a month, and I'll keep going down slowly, I'll worry about the subutex after I'm done with the Xanax. I just wanted to say, I have always gotten the yellow bars from Walgreens for all these years and now this month they gave me white bars made by Greenstone. Does anybody know what's up with them? Thank you very much and bless us all.

That's because Greenstone is owned by Pharmacia Upjohn, who makes the brand name Alprazolam, Xanax. They invented Alprazolam. So they have a stake in both markets, brand and generic.

Aurobindo I got on my last fill was taking brekenridge before that and brekenridge only made me want to sleep all the time but these aurobindo gave me almost old fashioned Xanax high! I've been taking Xanax 30 years never thought I'd feel that old familiar feeling again but aurobindo did it for me and that's. As I'm writing this I may never feel that again as you get used to a brand but just this one time was enough to make me know they are real Xanax even though generic they have enough Xanax in them to do what it takes

I'm prescribed 0.25 mg of Alprazolam for MRI, CT as I have severe panic attacks. I've been getting Caraco brand. I didn't have any problems, and they worked for me. My pharmacy can no longer get that brand. I have multiple med. allergies, and chemically sensitive.
After research on inactive ingredients I've narrowed it to brands: Greenstone, Apotex, Sandoz, Pfizer. Anybody have experience with these? Thanks.

You're so right. I never knew either but been researching the last few months cause my pharmacy closed and i couldn't find my qualitest. I tried dava, actavis, sandoz, and sun pharma from walmart. All these are no good. Try greenstone, like brand name, best so far. What's the deal, they're using fillers and making the cheapest product.

Is there ANYWAY they can coat the xanax pill?? It gets stuck in your throat all the time and it's the nastiest tasting pill. Takes a while to get the taste out of your mouth!!!!!! Please help!!!! Jackie Carpenter.

Several who get generic xanax agree they are weak. They keep changing generics and none of them are very strong. I take 2 mg so I know I should be able to feel something. What brand would have the least amount of fillers and be the most comparable to Xanax?

Jackue Carpenter: there are no versions of Xanax (alprazolam) manufactured which contain a "coating" or something similar to mitigate the horrible bitter taste. The reason for that is two fold: 1) it is meant to dissolve quickly so it works faster; and 2) if a child or someone unknowingly takes it, the bitter taste will make them want to spit it out. I personally don't mind the taste AT ALL (I think of it as a "good" bitter--if that makes any sense); however, you can sort of "parachute" the pill by wrapping it in a tiny bit of tissue paper then swallowing it with water. This should keep it from dissolving before passing your taste buds. Hope this works.

I currently get 90 of the .5mg actavis ones and I think there really good. They kick in really quick and last for like 5 hours. I'd definitely recommend this generic.ive also tried the Mylar ones but they sucked majorly. Would not recommend those at all.

Lol agreed. I would like to know how the bocas and par/qualitest 2mg compare to greenstone..and i haven't had sandoz in years..any feedback on Boca and qualitest compared to greenstone id love to hear it

I found a site by the parent company who makes Xanax that they have a special program to get the brand at a discounted rate. Haven’t gotten a script yet but I will. Just look up Xanax brand and you will find it.

Yes they have savings on brand name but it has to be a certain dosage and like only covers a little not even worth it. They don't cover anything like 2mg at all..only low low doses of brand name will you get savings. But yes they have a saving plan for brand name but is horrible..you have to he under like .5 for a while month and a certain small amount to qualify. Not worth it unless you have a very small rx to them

I must disagree with your list by far. First off yellows are r o 39 not 38. And they are most definitely the cheapest made next to mylan but thanks for feed back.
Activas- R039 - quick to start quick to end. Score - 6
Dava - green - s 90 3 - good one for anxiety relief and sleep
Score-8

Sandoz - GG 249 - makes you sleepy
Score - 6

Greenstone - g3722 - best and closest to brand name as it is made in same lab. Slow to come on but lasts longest and best evenly spread generic out there. Still need to try the Boca ones tho.

Eddy, let's say that diazepam is in game, not alprazolam. It's a BIG difference if you're getting Galenika Bensedin or Apaurin or some Indian pharma diazepam... Cant be the same thing.

yes this is true they went back on old formulation in 2017 thank goodness. i used to get those exact omes but moved up to the 2 mg ones g3722 imprints. better than any generic. except bocas pharma I have never tried those I hear they are compatible if not better than brand. but all generics have inactive ingredients which depending on the person can effect your health and it's potency and efficiency. i have stayed on greenstone for years I do have a phizer saving card but hard to get pharmacist to order it in as they say they haven't come by brand name in years so may try my saving from phizer next month at a Costco or good small store pharmacies that service older people they have brand name when requested. not sure may not be worth the effort and time and transfer to figure it out or not sure what to do yet. either stay with greenstone or ask to change refill to a pharmacy that has brand or can get it in re run the insurance and the savings card to see how much it would save and maybe get brand or just refill greenstone which yes have gone back to old formulation and good. i have 3 mg and 1 mg greenstones saved from 2013 and they are back to equal with the greenstone dispensed today yes. thank goodness. any other questions or feedback please don't hesitate
