Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 37)
UpdatedIs the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?
Re: RJ (# 707)
I had the same thing happen to me with the camber pill, but I took 60mg!!! In no world does 60mg of real amphetamine put you to sleep. It's Garbage.
Re: GB (# 10)
That is a really really high dose. I take 60 mg/day. You can have a heart attack at 90 mg. Be careful your dr knows that too
Re: Jake Y (# 717)
All I get is Teva , kind of a sweet aftertaste. The best to me anyway. I just picked up my script today 30mgs.
Some people think they’re getting teva but they’re getting lannett. First eye they’re identical. But instead of b stamp like teva lannett has e stamp and they suck according to an associate of mine. He threw them in the trash and got another refill somehow. Teva and sandoz from my experience are best generic out there.
Re: KD (# 723)
Up until Sandoz changed its Adderall (amphetamine salt) ingredients earlier this year I was on 30 mg of Adderall generic.
When I called them they said that they didn't change the ingredients, but anyone who has taken that brand knows that the pills have absolutely changed.
I'm trying to find out now if Sandoz has gone back to using the initial ingredients.
I'm currently on Vyvanse and Im not feeling the long-term effects thereof and hope to find an adderall that works effectively. I've noticed that patients rave about Teva (perhaps Teva has switched their ingredients back to the original formula.
I was on Teva about 11 years ago and after about 3 years or so of being on it, they changed the ingredients.
Re: KD (# 723)
Where were you able to find Teva 30’s?
Re: Foxx (# 724)
What are the "long term effects thereof" of Vyvanse you're referring to?
There are methods to test your hypothesis about formula changes. Urine samples check and confirm the level of amphetamine in your urine. Some Doctors use this to ensure patients aren't selling their meds if their is suspicion. The other thing is ph. The More acidic your system the LESS amphetamine will be in your bloodstream and you pee out the meds. Oftentimes the meds haven't changed, but the person's body ph level has changed (diet or whatever). That's why many meds say "no grapefruit" (acidic) and "no antacids" (alkaline). Taking Tums with Adderall will make it seem more effective, generally speaking.
The other way is to increase your dosage by 5mg.
Re: RJ (# 707)
Report them … It’s easy just Google the FDA whatever it’s called I just reported the manufacturer rhoads is horrible!!!!
Re: Cyr (# 716)
I am here in FL as well. Ever since COVID things are ridiculous with adderall. I had to switch to a local small pharmacy (thank God I did immediately when this crap started) but they seem to be giving me a different brand every month. In a way it's not horrible because it is keeping my body from becoming tolerant to one kind. I had the pink ones last month and I honestly liked how I felt. I just picked them up for this month and had never seen this pill before but after googling it and looking at the bottle it says Sandoz, but I swear the last time I got this brand they looked different. I don't even know anymore. I just know that COVID screwed all of us who have been on this medication most of our lives. All it took was for someone to call a teledoctor and say I can't focus and I'm anxious and BOOM everyone in the US is now self diagnosed as ADHD. For someone who has struggled their entire life this is insulting. These people have no idea the struggles real people have dealt with and because of them now we struggle to even get our prescriptions filled. I know alot of pharmacies aren't taking new patients, especially from teledocs, and I can understand that, but at the same time they can look at your history. I believe that people who have been prescribed this medication for longer should have priority. There is a reason we didn't just appear during 2020, we've been struggling our whole lives. Yes COVID sucked for everyone, but there is a big difference from having ADD & ADHD and not being able to focus because of daily life. Sorry about my rant. I used to think the oval Teva, I think, was the best. I know the round yellow ones are horrible. I had a migraine all month. The pink ones were good but now that I think about it I could go to sleep right after taking it, but then been focused later. I guess I will see how these work.
Re: Kirk (# 7)
I absolutely feel it’s like I would give half my life to NOT feel tired & worthless all the time. I hope you find a way to fight your monster.
I'm about to ask my doctor if I can switch from Adderall to Desoxyn... has anyone had any experience with this? While Adderall is amphetamine salts, Desoxyn is Methamphetamine which is a bit stronger so I'm curious to see what he says. I'll be seeing him tomorrow. I'll let you guys know about my experience
They are all exactly the same, unless counterfeit. Run them through a mass spectrometer. The graphs will fit perfectly on top of each other. The ingredients and manufacturing process are identical, you can’t change a chemical and give it the same name as another. I think it’s hilarious that Americans are happy to pay more for a brand name. Pfizer Valium is chemically identical to diazepam from Teva, Crescent, Upjohn, etc etc. Your FDA would not in a million years allow generic medicines to be any different other than in shape and colour to the brand. We don’t get brand meds in Scotland because the government pays for all prescriptions and healthcare (using my tax admittedly) not the patient so they obviously want to keep costs down. The only difference between brand and generic is the brand-holder charges more because numpties in the US think it “works better”!
Re: Arash (# 6)
All drugs can have atypical side effects, not everyone reacts in the same way. Even rare side effects are required by law to be listed
Re: Jc (# 9)
All generics are chemically identical. It’s not like they’re making a cake and put a few more almonds in! Your pharmacist will give you the make that is available at the time and makes him the most profit from your messed up insurance system
All generics have different formulations of inactive ingredients. Here are two examples made from same pharmaceutical company Lannett.
Lannett Pharma makes Pill 30lci that taste bitter:

Lannett makes a different formulation of inactive ingredients and distributes it to Elite Pharma Pill E306 that taste sweet like name brand Adderall

The 1st bitter one works poorly with me.
The 2nd sweet one works perfect for me.
Re: Chrissyboi (# 733)
They are not chemically identical. The generics have different inactive ingredients/fillers/binders. Some of those can cause allergic reactions and other issues depending on the person.
They are not the same at all
Re: T (# 735)
Not only that but generic medication is legally allowed to vary up to 20% from the namebrand, either stronger or weaker.
And they compare each generic to the namebrand, not to each other. So one may be 20% stronger than it is supposed to be, and another could be 20% weaker, which would be a huge difference in efficacy between the two.
Re: Chrissyboi (# 733)
This isn’t true at all, they use different fillers or inactive ingredients.
Furthermore they are legally Allowed to very up to 20% in strength from the namebrand either stronger or weaker
The only thing identical about generics and regular medication Is the actual active ingredient, but the amount of that ingredient isn’t even identical.
Re: Chrissyboi (# 732)
Oh I wish, no ma’am they don’t go and list every single rare side effect that everyone experiences by law. That’s not actually how it works I wish
Re: Chrissyboi (# 731)
Back in the 80s they decided that generic medication could vary up to 20% from the namebrand in strength and it’s fine. It doesn’t even have to be the same same batch to batch. So one month you may get the same exact generic medication that is up to 20% stronger or weaker than you got last month because they can
Re: Tiffany (# 728)
First of all, I’m glad that people who couldn’t access treatment have been able to access treatment.
You are skateboarding a whole bunch of people who are the same position as we are not cool.
People need to understand we are in the fifth year of a mass disabling event. Last winter or the winter before Teva came right out and said that they can’t get medication packed in boxes and shipped to pharmacies because everyone keeps getting sick and they can’t come to work. Covid causes disability, there’s a whole bunch of people who will never go back to work because of Covid.
In addition to that, like you said there have been people who were able to get treatment who couldn’t before and our awful president decided not to give any extra active ingredients to the manufacturers even though we had a shortage the year before. And from what I understand they didn’t do any better for 2024 so we’re going to be screwed this year too.
The government has always been released stingy with the active ingredient I’ve been experiencing shortages since 2011, that was the first one I got hit with since starting this medication in 2003.
But I think it’s important that we understand that one of the symptoms of long Covid and post viral damage is fatigue and brain fog and there’s a whole bunch of people who don’t even have ADHD who are taking this medication just to try to keep going to work because they’ve had Covid too many times.
Wear a mask even if you’ve been vaccinated because those shots don’t stop the infection and with every infection you run the risk of permanent disability. You don’t want MECFS, trust me you don’t want it
