Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 34) (Top voted first)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

What do you mean, orange football ? in capsule w/spansules in 1/2 clear & 1/2 opaque orange ? The slow release 30 mg? Does the 'pink' pill come in XR ?

I have taken generic Adderall IR for 5 years. During that time I have had experiences with:

1. Teva/Barr

2. Corepharma

3, Sandoz

4. Mallinckodt

Teva is by far the most efficacious, in my opinion

Walmart have 30mg orange oval by far work better than pink round

The pink round 30 mg instant release I think is corapharm, I have noticed they aren't as good as they were. I have not seen tge orange football ones in months. They were effective. It seems to me everything has been turned upside down and whatever is cheapest. U do have a right as a patient to request the generic that works for u at any pharmacy.

I use to get the Teva brand from CVS in MA but they replaced it with Mylan which I find awful! Have you found another store that carries the Teva brand?

My insurance wanted to pay for the name brand adderall xr. This was a blessing since the company Shire was still manufacturing it, trouble with this only one family drug store has it. I called every where looking for the name brand. I then called Shire and received excellent customer service and they are the one who told me the one and only drug store that had their brand in my home town.

I agree Sandoz is for better, but almost impossible to get, everybody carries Teva/Barr. Barr was just as effective as sandoz until they merged with Teva.

TEVA and Barr are one in the same. TEVA is the parent company to Barr. Barr adderall is generally easy to find however I have noticed that my pharmacy will change generic medications periodically without telling me and even fill a scrip for my adderall with a generic other than Barr (Teva) even when my script says specifically "Teva only". After questioning the pharmacist about this I got the impression that they weren't even aware that TEVA and Barr were the same nor the fact that other generics could have such drastic differences in how they worked for some patients. Of course the difference in how generic adderall works from patient to patient is subjective but if you take in to account the different fillers used in the different generics it would be reasonable to assume that the way people metabolize each different generic adderall would be different as well.

I agreed whole heartedly with those who chimed in about their druthers for the Cor 136, buuuut that was only until last month when they gave me a batch with the same inscription but slightly different look! The color is a loooot lighter pink and the back is not rounded like my old one. The look might only be slightly different, but the feel is DRASTICALLY different as in non-existent and giving me side effects I've never had like finger numbness. Has anyone else had this experience?

Same thing happened 2 me after I gave my pharmacy specific details about teva. Now I am scrambling to find a new pharmacy.

Take 2 tablets right away that should work, and then when u see ur Dr. tell him to up the does to 20 MG and always fill at Walgreens they have the best generic pills out of those other pharmacys. I would not take anything other than the PEACH 30 MG Adderall. PEACH PEACH PEACH!!!!

Walgreens carries the orange b974 30mg ovals by teva. The best by far to me

Lol I doubt not being potent enough is an actual side effect, unless it's perhaps from taking the drug for too long and not taking regular scheduled days off from it

I have the same "life story" as you. Falling asleep driving and trying to raise to children. I missed SO much of their growing up because I couldn't stay awake. Adderall saved my life and helped me to establish a strong family unit simply because I had the ability to stay awake. The adderall worked perfectly for years! UNTIL......Teva sold their trademark or whatever to another manufacturer overseas. The original Teva brand name 10mg IR (took a daily dose of 60 mg divided throughout each day which worked. Later, I was forced into using Teva's generic 10 mg IR. It worked exactly the same as its name brand. THEN, suddenly in 2014, it seemed less effective. I thought it was because I had taken it for so many years that I finally developed a tolerance to it. I struggled with the 60mg daily dose for 2 years before I realized that Teva adderall was not really Teva adderall anymore. I have tried so many other generic manufacturers of the 10mg adderall with varying successes (mostly unsuccessful....and not 1 manufacturer was anywhere as effective as the original Teva (name brand or generic) prior to 2016. I finally got used to the Mylan 10 mg adderall IR and as if this month Feb/March 2017....no one in the Augusta, Ga area can get any from the warehouse. I don't know why they are suddenly not available. It worked just ok but at least it it worked consistently and with some level of effectiveness. It is still sub-par to the original Teva but now, what manufacturer do I go to now? Does anybody know why Mylan isn't sending 10mg IR out right now or when they will? Does anybody know if trying a 20 mg IR tablet vs. the 10 mg IR in any manufacturer works better than the 10mg IR? I can only have up to 60mg IR a day but maybe the actual strength pills might differ in effectiveness based on the manufacturer? Any guidance would be really appreciated. If I fill a months worth of another junk adderall ....I lose an entire month of my life. Everything stops because I am stuck in the bed sleeping. It is awful to depend so much on a stimulant....and now matter how healthy I eat, etc., helps enough to stay awake without an effective adderall IR. The Extended release works ok (Vyvanse 180 mg) IF I can add in 20 mg adderall IR at the same time first thing in the morning. I need that much stimulant to get out of bed each day. Ugh. Ideas? Thanks!

Not 100% sure but I recall reading somewhere where someone was able to take the remainder of the pills back to the pharmacy and trade them out. But talk to your Pharmacist and see what can be done and how.
