Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 12) (Top voted first)
UpdatedIs the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

Also hit/miss in my experience. Weird. Amazing how Manufacturers are getting away with fraud. When they get caught they get warning letters and a slap on the wrist by the FDA.
Insanity.
Re: JPMUSIC (# 704)
I’m right there with you, here in Illinois every single pharmacy and pharmacist has told me Teva is on back order!
I’d say Sandoz. Teva is good too.
Re: KD (# 723)
Up until Sandoz changed its Adderall (amphetamine salt) ingredients earlier this year I was on 30 mg of Adderall generic.
When I called them they said that they didn't change the ingredients, but anyone who has taken that brand knows that the pills have absolutely changed.
I'm trying to find out now if Sandoz has gone back to using the initial ingredients.
I'm currently on Vyvanse and Im not feeling the long-term effects thereof and hope to find an adderall that works effectively. I've noticed that patients rave about Teva (perhaps Teva has switched their ingredients back to the original formula.
I was on Teva about 11 years ago and after about 3 years or so of being on it, they changed the ingredients.
Re: Chrissyboi (# 733)
They are not chemically identical. The generics have different inactive ingredients/fillers/binders. Some of those can cause allergic reactions and other issues depending on the person.
They are not the same at all
I came across your post today, a year after you wrote it. I just wanted to say that I had exactly the same experience as you: the fatigue, the drug ceasing to work, the frustration with Teva, even writing to them. The one difference is my neurologist had me go through a wash-out period and then go back to taking adderall (Barr generic). This was effective. You certainly have gone through the wash-out (for me it was only a month), so if you haven't already, perhaps try it again?
BARR
I just got my prescription filled at wal mart, and wouldn't ya know.. The cursed white Mallinckodt. After dosing one time, and experiencing a headache and heart palpitations, I decided to search on the Internet and found this site. Dammit! I hope I'm not stuck with this garbage for a month. I'm going to flush it down the toilet if I can't return it!
It raises blood pressure which could be what is causing your headaches. Check your blood pressure.
I've been perscribed Adderal for several years now and I have definitely noticed a difference each & every time I have gotten a certain brand/manufacture's adderal & for me the pink round tablets cause my blood pressure & body temp to go up & I'm more prone to get headachs with it. It just overall makes me feel a little different; I can't explain it in words, I just feel a little crappy I guess, like a little constant reminder that I'm taking this medication & I dont usually experiance any of that with the orange oval tablets.
Hey Kirk... Ask your pharmacy (and go to a different one if they say no) if they can simply order the generic manufactured by Barr. It's the oval shaped one (it has b973 on one side and 30 imprinted on the other). It's closer to the Original and I've found it works much better than the Round ones that you are talking about. Both are generics, but produced by different manufacturers, so your doctor CAN"T specify "brand" (neither is band.. only "Aderall" is brand) but almost any decent pharmacy will happily order from a different supplier if you simply ask and be specific.
And man... If you need someone to talk to, simply to unload on, to help keep your spirits up, I know this is just "the internets" and we're all random anonymous usernames... but I think humanity & compassion can still exist in cyberspace. So touch base with me if you want. :-)
I've been taking generic (right now it's Barr) Aderrall for about 10 yrs. In the past couple of years I've had this weird burning tongue, sometimes the roof of my mouth too. Just wondered if anyone else experienced this?
The Mallinckrodt has been recalling their Concerta generic! So, if everyone tries to check out the FDA updates you'll find an area with regular monthly and sometimes weekly info on recalls and problems with medications prescribed and over the counter and it's frightening how many or severe the level of problems are going on too.
I'm with you. I used to be able to avoid Teva / Barr by using brand. But now they are making the brand and it's their usual ineffective product. Where can I go in New York to have the efficacy of my medication tested?
I think Costco may have them. Any luck in the past year? I am looking for the Sandoz as well and I live in Birmingham, AL as well
I take 20 mg Adderall twice daily. After taking Teva (orange football tablet) for 6 years, my vendor switched to CorePharma (round pink tablet) 2 years ago. I frequently have to increase my daily intake of the pink tablets to 50 or 60 mg to stay awake.
Cvs has TEVA as the Adderall brand name which you pay out of pocket.
I suffer from the same medical diagnosis. I relate to each and every complaint your speaking about. My suggestion to you for your discomfort and pain is a drug called Suboxone. This medication is acually an addiction type medication for patients addicted to opioids. I have in the past taken hydrocoedone for my pain and discomfort and when i became dependant on them and they really stopped helping i was told about suboxone. From the very moment that i put the sublingual film of suboxone under my tongue i felt instant relief. Just wanted to share with you. As of now i am no longer in discomfort or pain. Just fighting being tired too and feeling like my adderall does not work as well anymore. Good luck to you! I hope my input serves you some type of relief.
I've been doing ok on the 30 SR capsules -clear+light orange containing little spansules inside, walgreen's carries them. The smaller, solid -orange 30SR capsules sold at CVS have absolutely no affect on me. the lightish blue 10 mg pills oblong(ish) sold by Walgreens are ok, but the hard, round, darker blue pills sold at CVS are ineffective. The efficacy was much better on 'straight' Adderall than has been for me on what I refer to as Fake-Adderall (aka generics) but thanks to all of you I was able to ascertain, at least for now, which of them, between the meager choices allowed by my insurance co, works better for me.
