Benzodiazepines With Methadone

I'm coming off of years of benzodiazepine abuse. My methadone doesn't even affect me now. I shake as if I'm an alcoholic. I have been feeling isolated and hopeless.

Unfortunately, since Methadone is an opioid, it doesn't always help with the withdrawals from Benzodiazepines.

I am very sorry that you're miserable.

How are you coming off of the Benzodiazepines? Are you tapering slowly?

Coming off too fast creates the risk of your experiencing seizures, anxiety, and depression, which would be dangerous, so it is very important to taper slowly, under medical supervision.
