I am a type 2 diabetic on medicine forpast 23 years,.76 years old, male single,active person go for morning and evening walk and controlled diet.Of late for past 3 months my sugar level remains between 161 to 190 fasting and pp between 150 to 180/200 My diabologist has prescribed following medicineunder whose treatment i am for past four years.
Medicines prescribed
dutrol 1-1-1 30 minutes before meals
volibose 0.3 mg with meals
jalra 1-0-1after meals
ecosprin 75, 0-1-0 after lunch
irovel 300 0-0-1 after dinner
urimax D 0-0-1 -do-
Nebastar-H 5mg 0-1-0
minipress 2.5 mg 0-1-0 after b/f
multivitamins 0-0-1
D- cal 500mg 0-1-1
Fibovas 0-0-1
My Hb 1 Ac on 12 dec 2012 was 7.1
now tested on 7 march-2013 is 7.9
Please advise if my treatment is on right line

Mys doctor advised me to add 0.3 mg tablet of VOLIX in addition to the medicine taking before. Lastly my PP was 185 whereas fasting was within the limits. I am feeling lot of acidity. Please tell me the other side-effects, if any.
I am 58yr old.i walk almost daily 4 to 5 km morning.pure vegetarian no onion no garlic use.Three day before check blood & urine..result fasting BS 112.42,Urine su nil.post pran BS 134.21,urine suggest nil
I have had diabetes type 2 for the last 5 years. My doctor advised me to take the tablets as follows:
- gluconorm G2- 500 MG (1 in the morning & 1 at night half an hr before meals)
- volix 0.3 mg (3 times daily at the time of meals)
- unistar 75 mg (one capsule daily)
Are there any possible side effects?
My sugar level while fasting is 150 and p.p 210.
