You have probably been to the dr. By now. Gaba have me migraines along with the worst nightmare of side affects a person can have! You see how you feel without them. Well that is what I started to feel as I wenti from 1 300 / to 3- 300 a day to stop my pain while waiting for a real pain Dr. - Dr.'s prescribe that stuff because its not controlled - up into the thousands of MGs- it was my worst nightmare . If there is anyway you can stop that horrible drug or if you have stay at 1 a day ? & no Lyrica- same but worse . That drug was invented yrs ago for epilepsy . They called it neurontin. It starts to affect your short term memory & other mental affects that could easily happen . I have had the nightmare of my life on that poison & it may could do way more damage than any kind of good in the long run. Codeine # 3 is what my grandmother use to take for her horrible migraines & a dark room w/ a wash rag. That means that - that drug has been tried & true for over 100 yrs.- this junk you are taking right now is only being tried because it is not controlled. They try it for everything . The withdrawal in the closest to death that I have ever been & I have through a lot of pain !!!! I am Also a retired pharmacy tech- I can't imagine in the old days!! Actual Dr.'s prescribing neurontin ! For Pain & Bi- Polar disorder- I hope that you read about this drug & find something else that is safe.

Hello, Tammy! How are you doing? Telling your doctor is the best thing to do.

Gabapentin is actually classified by the FDA as an anticonvulsant that is also used to help with certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders, that's likely why it alleviated your anxiety.

Although it is not an opiate, it has been known to be abused, in some cases.

Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain.

How many have taken each day? This medication can be taken in higher doses, so what your doctor will want to do is a toss up. They may want to take you off of them, or raise your dosage.
