My daughter has been diagnosed with Lymes disease from a tick bite.The doctor has her on 3 different antibiotics, and some supplements, but she is suffering in every manner. I don't think the doctor knows what he is doing. She is not getting better, if anything, she is getting worse. She can no longer work, and she feels she is losing her mind. She is 39 years old. When it comes to switching between different prescriptions I would always encourage you to contact your prescribing doctor and/or the pharmacist who filled it first, for specific and safe dosing instructions. However I do know that when I've taken antibiotics in the past and one didn't work as intended, I was instructed to switch over to a different antibiotic within a day's time. Again, this is just my experience. So I got an infection on my leg. They gave me Sulfameth(Bactrim) I was on it for 7 days. This morning at 4am i took my last pill. It's now 11:14. I'm hiv positive, but my child tested negative and I was breastfeeding. At the clinic they just gave me nevarapine only. So after 6 moths they gave me bactrim because my baby was experiencing diarrhea, going to the bathroom 6 to 7 times a day. So I just want to know cos I don't breastfeed anymore, can I stop bactrim?
