Bp And Pulse Rate Fluctuations

hiii...
My brother whose Age IS 20 Yrs having BP (ranging from 160/90 To 140/80) and pulse rate fluctuations since 10-12 Days With Chest Pain which Diagnosed As Muscular Pain After Doing Ecg 2d-echo. And not having any cardio disease.
He is not having any history of such disease.
He is subscribed the below medicines...
Will you please help me to know the reasons......based on which these are prescribed and the side effects for the same.
Metoprolol T Met Xl 25 Tablet - DOSAGE - 1-0-0
PAN 40MG - DOSAGE - 1-0-0
FOLVITE 5 MG P- DOSAGE - 0-1-0
SORBITRATE 5 MG - DOSAGE - IF CHEST PAIN
