Blocks Pain Signals

I read somewhere that Linzess BLOCKS PAIN SIGNALS. If that is so...I'm concerned. Pain is our bodies way of letting us know something is wrong. I'm afraid that something may be going on and I will not know until it's too late.
I started Linzess about 3 weeks ago. I was disappointed the first two weeks because I saw very little to almost no change. I stuck with it and now it is working. But again; I'm concerned about the Blocking of Pain Signals.

Hello, Lidia! How are you?

It does block them, but in the intestines, where it works, not systemic throughout your entire body, so I hope this information helps alleviate your concerns.

The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, bloating and diarrhea.

Is there anything else I can help with?
