Hi caty, Actually this is a good dyslipidaemic agent.. Take control in your diet. and you can stop this tablet, or else u have to take it life long..
I have high cholesterol and my doctor prescribed Lipitor. I was not able to purchase it from the drugstore, so I bought the generic brand, Aztor 20. Will it have the same effect as the brand named one?
Yes, they both contain the same active ingredient, Atorvastatin, which is commonly used to help lower cholesterol.
Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and joint/muscle aches.

I am male aged 38 yrs. I have being taking Aztor 20 (1 tablet once a day after dinner) since last 4.0 yrs due to fear of having heart attack & going under bypass surgery due to high chlorestrol family history. Please advice side effects of the same.
The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches.
Have you had your cholesterol checked? Have you had a heart stress evaluation?
Both can let you know whether or not you're at risk.
