Aurolife Adderall

I got my prescription filled today for Adderall 15 mg and Aurolife was the generic they used because they were out of their normal one. I have taken Adderall for years & even gone down in dosage with no problems but today after of 2 hours of waiting for the pill to work I took another. I can't tell I've taken anything. I've called the pharmacy twice about this plus a separate matter(a mistake they made in submitting to insurance) and questioned the pharmacist about this drug. He gave me the excuse that if I was used to a different brand this may not work as well at first. I don't buy it. This is an amphetamine and it should work if it's a quality medication. I have asked them to put in my chart to NEVER despense this brand for me again. I will go elsewhere to get my rx if that is all they have at that time. Maybe others don't have the same experience but this brand is completely ineffective for me

You can report them to the FDA.
I agree this brand is absolutely horrible and makes me have heart palpitations and just feel overall horrible and the Teva brand I have been on for years never did anything like that . Not only do I get physical symptoms but as far as my ADD is concerned it does absolutely nothing for it and gives me constant anxiety! I have used other brands and this is the worst one by far!

Ya’ll I’ve discovered since now experiencing this myself first hand. That generic adderall 30 mg scored U31 are made by either Aurolife pharma or Aurobindo. They are sister companies of each other & though so slightly different in looks & both scored U31 on front. However the Aurobindo generic is slightly larger & thinner than the Aurolife generic version. You would never know the difference though unless you were looking for it like I was. My opinion! They both suck!!! One is poision ( Aurobindo) horrific side effects that gradually happen - might as well take bad street meth. & Aurolife scored U31 - which I switched to this month! Might as well take a tynlenol total placebo affect. No nightmare side effects but no benefit whatsoever either! Like taking absolutely nothing!
I experience different effects with EVERY different Adderall brand.
Aurolife should be sued due to their adderall. That pill is like a placebo, screws me for a whole 30 days awaiting a refill. I took 6, 20mgs throughout the day. Felt nothing. Worst generic adderall created, wish I could report this company.
I filled at Discount Drug Mart today and got the Aurolife generics. First time for me. I actually had to look it up. At first I thought it might be the Sandoz but found it was Aurolife. I think they are a bit more 'mellow'. When I take the Barr generic, I can tell when it kicks in b/c I immediately feel the need to have a cigarette. Not sure why, but that is true. Today I took the Aurolife for the first time I didn't even have a cigarette and its 5:30pm. I felt I could concentrate just fine, but I did notice that I didn't get that nicotine craving like I did with the Barr. So I just think for me at least, its a little bit diluted in its potency when compared to Barr. I've been on adhd meds for over 10 years and I agree this formulation seems to not kick in like Barr does.
Lisa, the Pharmacy doesn't have charts like drs offices do. The next time you get a prescription filled be sure and ask if they will be filling it with this,
---Active ingredients @ 3.125mg ea.
- DEXTROAMPHETAMINE SACCHARATE (DEXTROAMPHETAMINE)
- AMPHETAMINE ASPARTATE MONOHYDRATE (AMPHETAMINE)
- DEXTROAMPHETAMINE SULFATE (DEXTROAMPHETAMINE)
- AMPHETAMINE SULFATE (AMPHETAMINE)
---Inactive ingredients, listed in order, @ (unknown)
- COLLOIDAL SILICON DIOXIDE
- MAGNESIUM STEARATE
- CELLULOSE, MICROCRYSTALLINE
- POVIDONE
- STARCH, CORN
- FD&C YELLOW NO. 6
@Lisa,
Despite the pharmacist's excuse, it actually is a valid answer. Certain "inactive" ingredients which may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the tablet is metabolized and used by your body. From what I've read, some fillers will bind to the active ingredient in such a way that inhibits its full absorption potential (bioavailability). This may explain why it doesn't work as well as other brands made up of different binders and fillers.
If anyone can find a complete list of ingredients it might be a little easier to determine through research, what it is exactly that's making the drug harder to metabolize.
I hope this helps!
I just got my script filled for the same, by the same. Whom ever Aurolife Pharma, LLC (aka Aurobindo) is, they make crap Adderall. I found some "expired" BARR 15's in one of my bathroom bags I travel with. The BARR was over a year and a half old and it worked better, for me, than that garbage Aurolife Pharma, LLC is pumping out. I hope their supply gets better.
