Aurobindo Pharma U37 Tylenol 4

I have had to take generic tylenol 4 for a while since drs cant prescribe anything else. DEA fears I suppose... Surprise, yet a new generic brand aurobindo pharma...Not good!!! First time I've ever felt more pain after taking a medication and also feel very agitated and flush... I know how my medication works and this is just horrible horrible horrible... I called the pharmacy and they said there should be no difference... Really? This is very scary. Such a drastic change...

This tablet is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and they list it as containing 60mgs of Codeine with 300mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

It isn't that they can't prescribe anything else, they can, it's just that they are afraid of getting in trouble, so they won't.

How long have you been taking this medication? Who manufactured the previous one you were taking?

I have been prescribed this medication ever since they changed the class of drug for hydrocodone...Like you mentioned I think my dr was afraid to prescribe what was helping. I have chronic pain that will not go away and it seems dr's hands are tied and it really is hurting a lot of people who need help. Good honest people suffer for crimes others commit and its horrible. Pain patients are treated like criminals while only trying desperately to find a dr who isn't afraid to help them enough soo they can function with minimal pain..Teva was one of the pharmaceutical companies I know of but a lot of different or new ones have been popping up lately...We don't get to choose where our medications come from and we must accept generics only... I'm sorry I am having a rough day and would like to put into words many things I'm thinking and feeling....I don't usually comment on message boards but I think its important if I could help someone else maybe sharing my experience can do that.

This is BS. CVS carries these do not get.

LOOK UP HATCH WAXMAN ACT 1984 - these things are listed as 300 mg.

I was prescribed this a month ago and need two where I used to take 1; it is a nasty drug this AUROBINDO not the same as Tylenol #4

I don't take this drug, but my pharmacy, CVS changed my Alprazolam (generic Xanax) RX to this Company, Aurobindo. I became ill - it wasn't just a lower % of the drug & some fillers like other generics. There were some bad fillers in their drug and very little Alprazolam. What I believe is happening is generics are getting too expensive, so the FDA is approving drugs from these overseas companies and I am worried about the oversight. I'm going back on the brand drug.

Sooo. Everyone agrees Aurobindo is a scam. Not good.now what can we do about this. Feel helpless. Was told Aurobindo is under investigation. Who can we talk to?

I honestly don’t know ! I’m going to dig in and start exploring who we can talk to ! I called the doctors office today and left them a message that they need to question everyone on the Tylenol 4 to assess if they have the same issues and please can this label “drug seeking “ this medicine is no good at all

I have their contact information. I also complained to the FDA & CVS because they said they were no longer carrying the generic I was taking. I called every pharmacy in the area & they said the generic I was taking had gotten too expensive. What's our healthcare come to when good generic drugs are now too expensive & we have to take crap from India?
