Ativan (Lorazepam) is used to treat anxiety disorders or anxiety associated with depression. It could also be prescribed for sleep disturbance, if you have trouble sleeping due to anxiety/worry, etc. You shouldn't have a problem obtaining a prescription for it if that's the case.

I take 1 mg of lorazepam a night for sleep. Originally I ask for something for anxiety when my mom died. I guess I am a naturally high-strung person but I got a great nights sleep which worked wonders for me.
