It is manufactured by Zydus Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 50mgs of Atenolol, which is most commonly used to help treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination. Can you double check the imprint and post back? Thank you!
I accidentally took my blood pressure medication (Atenolol 100mg / Chlorthal 25mg) twice within 1 hour. What should I do? ## While it is always best to check with your prescriber, or pharmacist, in most cases there won't be any severe issues from accidentally doubling up just once. According to NIH reports, it usually just causes the side effects to be a little more severe, so you may experience more nausea, dizziness, headache and urination than usual. How are you doing, now? Did you experience any adverse issues? ## I jst took my meds htz 100 and carbedidol 50 twice in One day 8 hrs apart.
I have been prescribed hydrochlorot for hypertension along with atenolol. I've been taking it for several years. After having some issues with fatigue I reviewed the side effects and cautions. One of the cautions was that if you are allergic to penicillin not to take this medication. I have some auto immune markers that are not good but not severe enough to warrant a diagnosis for an auto immune disease. However, I've had flesh eating strep in my lower right leg tissue twice. Lately if I as much get a scrap or insect bite on the scarred leg tissue it turns into an itchy red ugly patch that takes for ever to heal. Are they related? ## I have allergies to several medications including penicillin. I break out in hives the size of baseballs and larger. My blood pressure is so out of...
I had a kidney transplant and am on the following medications: Tacrolimus, cellcept, amlodipine, atenolol, bactrim & humalog (for diabetes). Can I take forskolin as well? I weigh 228lbs. ## I am sorry, but since Forskolin is classified as a supplement, I have not been able to find any information on this. The FDA doesn't require testing for them, as it does for actual medications. Has your doctor instructed you take it?
I was taking Amlodipine Besylate 10mg for about a year or so and my blood pressure is under control now. I have gone to a new doctor who put me on Atenolol 50mg because I was told one of the side effects can slow your heartbeat & I was concerned... Wondering which one is a better medicine when it comes to side effects? ## Hello, Kevin! How are you? There is no real best medication, since we are all different, so it depends on what works best for you, without causing unwanted side effects. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased urination, hypotension, and headache. How are you doing taking the new medication?
I found some small white pills that have an MP and the #9 on one side and nothing on the other... They look like my atenolol but not the same inscription on it so I'm afraid to take it...in case it isn't atenolol! I had visitors recently and found these in the bathroom.. Thanks for any help ## Might be Nicolette lossenge? Nicolette lossenge are small, oval shaped with flat sides. One half is smooth with no imprint. The other half has an M. Does it taste minty? ## A round, white tablet with MP over 9 on one side is manufactured by Mutual Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 25mgs of Atenolol, which is used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urina...
Hi everyone. I've been a 25mg Atenolol user for 22 years. Recently, because of the shortage, I had to temporarily switch pharmacies to get my prescription. Four doses later the headaches started. For the last month I have been having unrelenting headaches. I just can't shake it. It's pretty much constant. I've tried everything, thought of all the benign reasons why, and this is my last Hail Mary before I see my Dr and tell him I'm convinced I have a brain tumor. Pathetic but I am miserable. Is it possible changing from one manufacturer to another who might use different inactive ingredients be the cause of these headaches? A sensitivity to something maybe? I'm sure in the past my Atenolol has been switched up occasionally, but it's the last thing I can think ...

I'm now 40. You should be just fine on Teva as it's just a different manufacturer from what I was told. I was on the Mylan brand for a very long time, and due to the shortage, I had to take the Teva brand. I don't even notice a change, I suffer from Tachycardia, Arrhythmia, p...
Can you cut it in half? New to med. Noon dose still has heart rate in low 50s and will soon be time to take again. Last night was unnerving with low heart rate and breathing. I see cardiologist tomorrow for first time. PCP prescribed. I am asking cardiologist to reduce dose tomorrow but worried about tonight. ## It could be that it is too high of a dose for you, since the FDA lists that as being a known side effect of taking too much. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. What did your cardiologist recommend?
Can these medications be taken together: Atenolol, Amlodipine, Ciprofloxacin and Acetaminophen? ## Have they all been prescribed for you by your doctor? If so, it is always best to follow their instructions. However, the FDA does warn that taking the Atenolol and Amlodipine together may result in more lowering of your blood pressure and heart rate than expected.
8/17/17 I've been taking 25mg of Atenolol 3xday for Afib, I have it often, have a pacemaker and on pradaxa (blood thinner). Apparently Atenolol is back-ordered all over the country. My cardiologist prescribed Metoprolol, only 25mg 1xday. I'm switching tomorrow and I'm concerned with enough dosage from Metoprolol. I have googled, can't locate equivalent dosage, can you help? ## It is generally better to follow your doctor's instructions as to what dosage you should take. Since these are in the same medication class, the doses are also sometimes the same. The FDA warns that the side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Have you started taking it, yet? If so, how are you doing?
I took my pills tonight from my pill box and then found Atenalol on the carpet so I took it. I'm just worried that it may have fallen there when I was refilling my pill boxes. I'm hoping I just dropped it when I took them and took the one I was supposed to have taken. Would 2 doses hurt me? ## An occasional double dose isn't likely to hurt you, as long as you aren't allergic to it, according to FDA reports, but your blood pressure and heart rate may drop lower than normal, you may also experience more dizziness, and drowsiness, than usual. How are you doing? Did you experience any adverse effects?
OTHER SIDE IS SCORED DOWN CTR., AND HAS EITHER gg OR 99 ON TOP HALF, AND, 236 ON BOTTOM1 PLEASE HELP!!!!! ## The tablet with the GG 263 marking contains 50mgs of Atenolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. I do believe I may have taken 2 of all my medications tonight by accident: Atenolol 50mg, Losartan 25 mg, Eszopiclone 3mg, Esomeprazole 40mg. Will I be alright? ## The main concern here is the Ezopiclone, since taking a double dose could result in excessive sedation and depression of the cental nervous system, according to FDA reports. How are you doing, now? Did you experience any adverse effects?

For 10 yrs I was using Sandoz atenolol with great results. Went to Florida and could not locate Sandoz atenolol so I filled a prescription for Mylan. Within a few days I started getting back pains and body pain. Within time, it was hard to walk and move around, and wake up depressed. Then my left arm developed pain, I could not even make a bed, etc. My thought was I was getting arthritis. Went to cardio lecture and the doctor said that the same medications made by different manufacturers can cause different side effects. I located Sandoz and 4 days later I woke up to tell my husband the pain was gone. Then looked up Mylan and saw their side effects. Started walking too much too soon which caused leg problems and I ended up in physical therapy. My husband had to push me in a walker for t...

Hi. I've been on 50mg tenopress a day and I'm suddenly suffering from very bad external hemorrhoids. Could it be aggravated by the use of tenopress? ## That's not a typical side effect of this medication, the NIH lists them as usually including symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Are you on any other medications? Have you been dealing with a lot of constipation, recently? ## I was also taking Doxycycline (an antibiotic). I also suffer from hypertension. Suffering with a lot of symptoms caused by the diagnosis of sickle cell. Especially pain in my legs and an irregular heartbeat. Not sure if I should continue with tenopress.
