for what disease is synasma prescribed ? is it better then deriphylyn ? ## Synasma contains Doxofylline, and it is used to treat Asthma. Deriphyllin contains the active ingredient Theopylline, it is also used to treat Asthma. This is the only one of the two, in which the main ingredient is also currently approved for use in the US. As to which is better, I cannot say. Medications work different for different people. What has your doctor recommended you use?

Are there any lower cost substitutes for Accolate? Anyone know when the patent on it runs out? ## I have received no replies to my inquiry. I have been trying to get Accolate from someplace other than the U.S. or Canada - India perhaps or Israel. Neither place can provide it. I since have found that (apparently) the patent runs out in September 2010. BUT I have also found that the FDA has posted (8/28/09) serious new side effects from Accolate and a couple of other drugs in the same area. I have therefore stopped taking it. I will confer with my healthcare provider about this in the next week or so.

Is there theophylline in ALL teas? ## Yes; provided you're drinking actual tea and not an herbal tisane. The tea (Camellia Sinensis) plant contains the theophylline and theanine, and neither are destoyed during the fermentation process used to make tea or the steaming process used for green tea. The fementation does, however, destroy the EGCg of present in Camellia Sinensis; this is probably the reason green tea is often touted as being healthier than black tea.

slimming pills ## where can i buy ethagin tablets. needed asap. ## The name is commonly misunderstood, but I believe what you are referring to is Ephedrine, which was a stimulant commonly used for weight loss, until being banned in the US. I found some medication in my medicine cabinet and I am not sure what they are .the number on the pills are G254 ## After gathering information from the description provided, I discovered the G254 marking on a pill by the name of Marax. The color of this particular pill is white, with an irregular shape of a solid M imbedded on one side as the logo, and the letters ROERIG254 on the other side. I found a White pill large oval pill on 1 side it says THE O DUR 700 and the other side is blank with a spit in the middle, does any body know what this is? ## It sounds like you have a 700mg dose of Theo-Dur which is used to treat certain respiratory conditions. I have forgotten what this pill was perscribe to me for... ## I was unable to locate PLIVA 488, however I did locate PLIVA 483 Click here to see a picture of the pill. for breathing ## I think you mean Theophylline. It is typically used for asthmatic people but sometimes used for other breathing problems. Side effects include rapid heart beat, sweating, dizziness. ## for wheezing due to chronic bronchitis and mild emphesema from years of smoking and being a fireman
