Does Difen injection give breath failur ? she's 80 and she's taking heat & presure drugs with these injections. ## I haven't found any specific details stating that this drug could cause breath failure, but I did come across information linking 'asthma' as an allergic reaction to the drug. Over 15yrs.ago, I was taken off Theodur and introduce to Azmacort. And oow what a relief it is. I was able to do more than walk. I was able to jog from 3 to 5miles a day without the exercise induced asthma. The cold air in the winter no longer collaped my lunges when going out to jog. Now its all down hill. Gone is the jogging and I use to participate in the Senior Olympics. Someone goofed. Bad decision. I tried all other medications to no avail. O-zone, I know this was not a Scientist decision!!! ## The manufacturer is actually the one that discontinued it, this was not a decision made by the FDA or general medical community, either. I have been prescribed 4 puffs twice a day on Qvar, and it's helping with the breathing but it's also making me voraciously hungry ALL THE TIME. My Doctor seems to think that this dosage will be helpful for me, but I'm concerned. I also take Marshmallow Root to thin the mucus and wonder if that could have any interactions with the Qvar. Any thoughts/comments/suggestions? I'm scared to be on steroids for such a long length of time as I'm already overweight. ## There are other possible concerns to long-term steroid use, aside from just the weight gain. Is this a possible substitute for Bronkaid which has been taken off the market? ## Bronkaid caplets contain the following active ingredients per caplet: - 25 mg ephedrine sulfate - 400 mg guaifenesin Broncholate also contains the same two active ingredients of Ephedrine + Guaifenesin. Listed below are the available forms and dosages (which you can compare to Bronkaid): Syrup: 6.25mg/5ml + 100mg/5ml Tablet: 12.5mg + 200mg, 25mg + 200mg, 25mg + 400mg Based on the above info, this is considered to be a possible substitute for Bronkaid. My doctor says that I am suffering from allergic asthma and she has prescribed 'montelukast' once a day in the night. In days to come I have to appear for military tests. I want to know whether 'montelukast' can be detected in blood or urine tests or not? What if, I leave taking that drug 6-7 days prior the tests? Would it be helpful to pass the military tests?

I am not sure, however, of who the manufacturer is, where you are located. What is the proper name for a square peach colored pill with a 54 imprint on one side and an x on the other side? Does PhenTrim diet pills show up in a drug test? ## While it's true that just about any drug can be specifically tested for, most drug screenings generally don't test for substances that aren't commonly abused or not heavily regulated. To my knowledge, this excludes a number of drugs that are in the weight loss category. However, because I can't seem to locate any details on the ingredients found in PhenTrim, I am basing the above information solely off of "legal" prescription medications and not those that have been recalled or discontinued, such as Ephedrine and other like substances that are now being marketed differently. pl. inform use of drugs ## This contains the active ingredient Acebrophylline, it is used as a bronchial dilator and mucolytic.
