Does Difen injection give breath failur ? she's 80 and she's taking heat & presure drugs with these injections.

I haven't found any specific details stating that this drug could cause breath failure, but I did come across information linking 'asthma' as an allergic reaction to the drug.

Aside from the potential side effects of Defin (Metamizole), it could also be that she is taking drugs that don't interact well together. Perhaps depression of the central nervous system took place, due to taking a blood pressure drug with another type of "downer", such as Defin. But one would have to go to a doctor to confirm this.

Since Defin has been banned in many countries, you may even want to consider asking her doctor about other, safer alternatives to the drug.
