I have degenerative arthritis and diabetes type 2. This medicine is recommended for inflammation and neuropathy. Does one need a prescription? Do they sell this med in the USA? ## Hi Maria, From what I could gather, "neural forte sluter domull" appears to be a product of Mexico. And just for clarification, my understanding is that "Neural forte" is the medication name and "Fluter Domull" is the manufacturer. In my findings this particular brand does not appear to be available in the US. However, the majority of its ingredients are readily available over the counter: Vitamin B1 (50 mg) Vitamin B6 (100 mg) Vitamin B12 (1000 mg) Acetaminophen (500 mg) The other listed component in Neural goes by the following chemical name at a dosage of 1mg (which may or may not re...
Best medicine for degenerative arthritis ## For the past 3wks my ankles & feet has been swollen. They'll go down for a day or so but will swell back up. They wasn't sore at first but they are starting to get tender around my ankles & the top of my feet. I wanted to know what's causing it & is there anything that will prevent it from happening ## I can explain all of the swelling in my calves, ankles and toes to RA, and medications but the top of my food is a mound and hurt so BAD even to the touch. I am having a reaction to the medication ardosons and trying to get more details about this drug. ## Hi stephanie, Sorry to hear about your reaction to that medication. Are you feeling any better now? Based on my research, the ingredients found in Ardosons are: Indomethacin, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory; Betamethasone, which is a steroid class medication; and Methocarbamol, which is a muscle relaxant. Since each medication can effect you differently, I think you really have to look at each drug's individual profile to get a better idea of what side effects are really associated with the medication as a whole. It may also be a good idea to contact your doctor about any safer alternatives to Ardosons. You can learn more about these drugs on the pages for: Indomethacin Det...

I wake up with my fingers and toes swollen and I have so much joint pain in my arms and shoulders I can't even brush my hair. I even took two shots of cosentyx last month and not a smidgen of relief. What gives? ## Unfortunately, it has been known to cause such side effects in some people that have used it, along with oral thrush, diarrhea, dizziness, and cough. Have you consulted your doctor? These could be symptoms of a possible severe reaction, and you should no longer use it, you may need to try something else. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Does anyone have s...

What is the shelf life of Celebrex capsule 200mg. The date on mine is 5/2/09. They have been kept in the original pharmacy container in a cool dark cabinet. Are they still effective? ## When regular prescription tablets and capsules are dispensed, they are required to have a one year shelf life, from the time you get your prescription filled. That means that yours actually expired on 05/02/10. This doesn't mean that they are dangerous to use, but after that date, they can start to lose potency and not be as effective. Have you spoken to your doctor? It may be advisable to just get a new prescription, if you still need to use this medication. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, stomach irritation and headache. ## Taking pills that are expired is not dangerous. They m...
anyone else having this problem? I looked on the internet and can't see that it's been banned. ## Hello, Cricket! How are you? What reason are they giving you for not filling it? Ketoprofen is classified by the FDA as being a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. ## Hi. Yeah, I've had the same problem. My pharmacy says that their suppliers can't get ketoprofen. The Pharmacist can't get any answers as to why ketoprofen isn't available either. I am allergic to opiates, and other NSAIDs I've tried don't work anywhere as effectively as ketoprofen. So, this is a real problem for me. I would re...
