I am taking meloxicam 7.5 for RA and I feel great, I came back to a normal life, now the doctor tells me that I can have a heart attack as a result from taking this medication, is this a possibility based on the fact that it elevates the blood pressure or the fact is that it hamrs the heart? So confused, If I stop taking the only medication that has been helping me, probably I will be in a wheel chair soon. ## Hello, Gonza! How are you? Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so yes, there can be risks associated with long-term use of it. Is it okay to take it again so soon after having took it a month ago? Please advise...suffering in NJ! ## Hello, Rob! How are you? I am very sorry about the allergy problem. If your doctor has prescribed and approved it, then it should be okay. This is a steroid and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, fluid retention, acne and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks. I still haven't taken it because I'm afraid that since I just took the 6 day dose...

I started a dose pack of 4mg methylprednisolone today. I was supposed to take two before breakfast and discovered tonight that I only took one. Should I take two in the morning before breakfast or skip it altogether? ## Hello, Poola! How are you? You can take it as soon as you noticed it, it doesn't necessarily have to be taken before breakfast. That's just a recommended schedule to try to help people remember to take it. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, acne and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

261 GG is a small yellow oblong pill!what kind of pill is it ## Is gg261 meloxicam a very strong pain pill ## Hello, Vincent! How are you? First, the yellow, oblong tablet with the GG 261 marking contains 25mgs of Meclizine, which is an antihistamine that's most commonly used to help prevent nausea and vomiting. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. This dosage is available via prescription and over the counter. Second, Meloxicam is not a strong pain pill, it is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation and liver damage. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have got bells palsy day 5, I think im getting gout I have arthrexin for gout, could I take this while im on panafcortelone. ## Hello, Ace! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. No, these two medications should not be mixed, they both increase the toxicity of the other, so it's just not safe to do so. It would be best to ask your doctor what is safe for you to take. The Panafcortelone is a steroid that may cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness, headache, elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure, headache, fluid retention and acne. I have a torn Labium in my hip, chronic arthritis in my right knee, plus back pain. I'm having surgery soon for my hip (thank goodness). I've been on oxy for 3 years 10/325 and it's not helping any more. Not sure what to do. ## Hello, Rose! How are you doing? I'm sorry that you're in pain. The best thing to do would be to inform the prescribing doctor that it is no longer helping your pain. It is normal to develop a tolerance to a medication that you've taken for a long-period of time and for it to stop working as well, when that happens. It might be time to move on to a different medication to handle your pain. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an...

I am heading into day 3 of this medication for a foot issue. I can concur with my side effects being constipated, heavy duty sweating, heart or pulse beats felt in my lower back and side, insomnia and my sinus running like a faucet. None of which I had Wed. the day before I started them. My foot hurt but these side effects are worse than the foot pain I think. I realize where i am it was 100 degrees out but it felt like I was sitting in a 300 degree sauna. The heavy "beat" i feel in my back and side is what got to me. I stopped taking them this afternoon. ## Hello, Theresa! How are you? Steroids can cause those types of side effects, including the palpitations, but they usually aren't anything to worry about, unless your heart beat is going dangerously high. Have you consult...

I have just been told I have a mild to moderate faulty heart valve I was taking 100g of Celebrex for 3-4 months earlier this year, I took myself off them as I never really felt well taking them, can Celebrex cause this problem? For some reason my blood pressure increased at an alarming rate even though I was taking a blood medication which was well under control. I am a non smoker, non drinker, and have always exercised and played some form of sport, what are your thoughts? I would be very interested to hear them. Lynette. ## Hello, Lynette! How are you? Yes, Celebrex has been known to cause hypertension, in some people that take it and yes, it can also cause some aortic valve problems. It isn't likely that you can prove that this was all caused by the Celebrex, but the possibility ...

Can this pill be used for vaginal infection ## Hello, Chica! How are you? A round, yellowish tablet with an M over 66 on one side contains 7.5mgs of Meloxicam, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so no, it will not treat an infection. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. An infection requires an antibiotic, unless it's a yeast infection, in which case you need an antifungal. Was this prescribed for you?

What would the dosage be for the methylprednisolone 4mg tablets for an 11 year old that weighs 100 pounds? ## Hello, Jody! How are you? Methylprednisolone is a potent steroid, so it shouldn't be given to a child, unless it has been prescribed by their doctor. If it has been prescribed by their doctor, you should follow their prescribing instructions for safe use. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, fluid retention, insomnia, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?
