This is a corticosteroid drug used in treating a wide variety of conditions, including pain and inflammation which you are reporting. The Methylprednisolone Details page states: " Long-term use of methylprednisolone, as with all corticosteroids, can be associated with hyperglycemia, decreased resistance to infection, swelling of face, weight gain, congestive cardiac insufficiency, fluid and sodium retention, edema, hypertension, increased eye pressure, glaucoma, osteoporosis, and psychosis, especially when used at high doses. What can happen if you take too many tablets of Predmet 16 mg all at once? Is it life threatening? If someone takes a high dosage at once, what can happen and if you induce vomiting right away, will that help? ## According to CIMS, Predmet is a brand of Methylprednisolone from India. Facial neuralgia, trigeminal, intercostal, lumbago." NOTE: the above info was translated from spanish to english, so please excuse any grammatical errors. What are the blue capsules with the numbers 93-757 on them. They're supposed to be for back pain. And i wanted to know if they are indeed for back pain. ## Hello, Elmore! How are you? These are manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 20mgs of Piroxicam, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. The FDA list its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Knee problems from years of racquetball - miniscus are gone - doc prefers me do the Rball for heart health rather than knee replacement. (ME TOO!!!). Incredibly - Meloxicam (15 mg / day) has ZEROED the pain. The problem I have developed after about two months is leg cramps - usually calf muscles & usually during the night - a couple of times a week. Is there a fix for these leg cramps? ## According to the NIH, the most common cause of nighttime leg cramps is low potassium levels in the body, this medication has been known to cause dehydration in some people that take it, which could contribute to the problem. How much fluid do you take in each day? Do you eat any potassium rich foods, such as oranges or bananas? ## I drink 6 to 10 Gatorade G2 (smallest size) a week and eat bananas o...

When I started taking 2 Vimovo a day, I had some disconcerting side effects: coughing and wheezing at night, acid reflux that would be so severe I was up-chucking. One morning I awoke and all my muscles and body ached like I had the flu. I even coughed up some mucus tinged with blood. ## Hello, Nancy! How are you doing? Has there been any change? This medication contains a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, which according to the FDA, can cause stomach irritation and ulceration, however, it also contains Esomeprazole, which should help prevent such issues. The coughing and wheezing is concerning, because that could be a sign of other, possibly dangerous, health issues, according to the NIH. Have you informed your doctor? It would be best to have these symptoms checked out.

Had 3 operations in 2 years. My neck. Lower spine and left knee replacement. Can I take methycobal 500. My fingers are showing sign arthritis. Is overdose of vit-12 harmful? I am also taking high blood pressure. ## I cannot find my reply? Give up ## An overdose of anything has the potential to be harmful. However, this is just a nutritional supplement, not an actual medication, so it isn't likely to help with arthritis. The U.S. FDA warns that it may cause nausea, as a side effect. I am very sorry that you didn't receive a prompt reply. While there are those of us that are happy to help, if we can, it just isn't possible for anyone to be online 24/7. I have been taking 15 mg of meloxicam for 3 weeks following surgery on my foot for joint pain and inflammation. It has been causing increasing stomach pain so today I decided not to continue with it. My intention was to not limit my mobility during therapy and my recovery period which could take several months to a year. What else could I take without the gastric upset? ## Hello, Fran! How are you? Did you try using an antacid and making sure not to take it on an empty stomach? These measures can usually help limit the gastric upset. Alternatively, you could speak to your doctor about trying something else, such as Tramadol, or Oxycodone, since they aren't as harsh on your stomach. The FDA warns, however, that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, su...

I was given a dose pack to determine if a condition I have is inflammatory arthritis or not. By day three of the mess, I was feeling better than I had in months! I could walk without a limp, and I just felt better. But now I'm on the last day and the pain is slowly creeping back in. Is that normal? Should I assume it isn't helping as much now because the dose is smaller? ## Unfortunately, the effects of such medications are usually temporary, so yes, that is normal, as the dosage reduces. However, it is good clue that you do have some condition causing inflammation. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia, acne, and nervousness. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was prescribed the 4mg pack to help me with neck and shoulder pain.
