Hi John, yes...that's the exact pill that I have.
I read you have meinere's disease I also have that. Alprazolam is the only thing I have found to help with the symptoms.

Hi, John..sorry it takes me so long to reply but we are on about a 4 hr time difference.
Alprazolam helps with the dizziness. My dizziness with this disease is different that the average attack it NEVER leaves. Alprazolam most of the time can releave the dizziness, not the pressure or the ringing. I'm lucky so far the ringing isn't as bad as I've heard in some cases.
I also have the diesease in both ears. Which most just have it in 1. I've not worked around loud things it just hit 1 day in 2002. They said it was odd I was only 26 when it struck. I'll be 32 in a few days.
I'm a married mother of 3 (in spite of my name) hee hee...hence the I at the end.
What do you do for your meinere's?

I got my Meniere's in Vietnam, you can use your imagination on what loud noises caused it. Then I worked in several major airports fueling and loading heavy cargo jets (Boeing 747s and such) also I fly planes myself, and to top it off I play music in a band practically every weekend, 20 years of that being loud rock-n-roll, I pretty much did it to myself. Now I can't watch TV without running people out of the room so I bought wirreless headphones so I can have my own volume control. As for the dizziness, Valium helps me more on that front but I don't take it often. In my case i was advised many times by doctors that I retain water in my ears and that causes my dizziness, the solution was remarkably simple, they told me to give up using salt. 90% of my dizziness dissapeared within 2 weeks and rarely returns unless I get pi$$y and say to heck with it and use a lot of salt on my food. You really might give that a try because cutting out salt REALLY for all intents stopped the vertigo.
Write any time. ANyone else that knows any way to stop or slow down the constant ringing and jet-engine roaring is invited to offer ideas. Some nights I lay awake for hours and it's quite maddenning.

I have not had any problem with the ones I have. They are SR (Sustained Release) so expect the medecine to last longer. They are also a bit stronger than those of the same mg we get in the States. Be careful pal.

I HAVE HAD PANIC DISORDER SINCE 1982 AND HAVE TAKEN ALPRAZOLAM EVER SINCE IT CAME ON THE MARKET. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE RECEIVED ANZAL SR 1 AND WONDER IF THEY ARE SAFE.

I've been taking anzal for a couple of weeks now and it seems to be working fine for me... or maybe better than the xanax from the US.

I agree Sarah,
They do seem stronger than the US brands, but that might be because they are SR (Sustained Release ?) so they seem to last longer. In my opinion they are much more effective in managing panic disorder than the ones we get here because they wear off slower. That's just how it works for me. Good luck

i have the very same package in hand, also from India (Mumbai to be exact) I ordered Xanax 1mg, and this is what came in the mail. This bubblepack (ten peach-colored round pills, the aproximate shape of a generic .25 Xanax) have only the line scored across one side (for breaking in half) I am assuming you and I have the same thing. Have you had any unexpected issues with this brand? I will try one tomorrow and check back with any info I learn. Thanks

I have taken Xanax for 6 years and have taken 10 if the 1mg peach pills and feel like I have only taken 1 2mg Xanax Bar.

I strongly suggest you do not take a lot of these from Mumbai. They are considerably stronger and likely more dangerous. May I ask why you feel you need to take such high doses of Xanax? Maybe it's time to see the doctor for a change in drug family if you have to take so many. Just concerned pal.

Yes, that is a high dosage and if you have to take that many then I think we can guess that a doctor is not prescribing it that way for you.

It can be very dangerous and you really need to see a doctor, like John said, and see what else you can take to help.

i took several of them after i posted a response yesterday, and yes, they work, but i found that i had to chew them (4-8) at a time to get the effect that i neded. i normaly take 4 2mg bars a day and the anzal has xanax in them, but at a lower dose, also, i noticed that some pills are stronger than others, so if you have not been on xanax for a while, be careful. india's quality control may not but up to standard..

I have these pills. So far I have taken it on 2 occasions. The first time I took it, it seemed to be very potent, but didn't last very long. The second time I had to take 2 of them just to settle my anxiety down.

Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with this particular pill?

I suspect this Anzal to be either a weak form of alprazolam or a different drug entirely. Two of these so called 1 mg tablets are not as effective as a half mg of a true rx product. They work well as a sleeping pill but do little to control anxiety. See a doctor and pay very little for the real mcoy.

Anzal 1 SR is manufactured in India, where the standards are very high. India has strict standards on the drug industry, including manufacture, distribution prescription, and use. This medication is 1 mg. of Xanax (Alparazolam) in a sustained released sublingual form. That means, it lasts 4-6 hours, and is taken by letting it dissolve beneath your tongue. Do not swallow this tablet whole, you will have just wasted a tablet. Let it dissolve underneath your tongue.

An exact replica is being marketed in the US, it is under the brand name Niravam and is exceedingly expensive.
