Anyway To Reboot Weight Loss?

Updated

I've been on this for about 2yrs now. I have lost 40 lbs and pretty much kept it off for that time. The last 5-6 months weight is creeping up. I know I am having trouble choosing healthy foods. The first year and a half I really had no desire to eat, let alone overeat. Has it completely stopped working? If so is there anyway to reboot so to speak? I really want it to keep working.

Ok, I was not seeing what you were taking. Not familiar with this med sorry. Hope someone can help you. I do think with women we lose a lot of weight at first, then it tapers. I have had friends who then fail with their weight loss cause they are not losing fast enough.

No medication can do everything, whether you are taking it for a heart condition, high blood pressure, weight loss, diabetes, or etc. We always have to take action to help keep things under control.

For example, I have high blood pressure, so I have to make sure I get exercise, and eat foods low in salt, and fat, my medications can't do everything. They help, but overall, we still have to take action to gain the full benefits to our health.

What issues are you having with choosing healthy foods? Can you post back and clarify? I am happy to help provide suggestions and advice. Most fresh foods are good, such as meats, vegetables, seafoods, and fruit. Processed foods and baked goods tend to be bad choices. The NIH states that we should keep our diets high in fiber, and low in fat and calories for the best results to control weight.

We recently found out that our senior dog is diabetic, so that's been a whole new adventure, in some ways it is similar to diabetes in humans, but not in all. He's doing better, but we still have a way to go.

I have been on contrave for about a year and half. I have noticed in the past few months the weight creeping back up too. What have you found to help? Have you talked to your dr yet?

I too have the same issue, it worked great for the 1st 5 months didn't have the cravings for sweet stuff but it is back now. I came down off of them slowly and I am going to try to go back on them to see if it will work again for me. I lost about 24 pounds in the 5 months I was on them.
