Anybody Else Get Hives After Linzess? (Page 2)

Been on Linzess 145 for 2 months. Was having lots of allergy issues-hives and itching on scalp, runny nose, sinus pain, extreme fatigue. Also shortness of breath and heart palpitations. Hadn't had major allergy attack in months but thought that was what was going on. Steroids, inhaler, Benadryl no help. Started paying real close attention to symptoms and realized I never woke up with hives, they always appeared about half hour after Linzesse was taken and improved by end of the day. Stopped taking it and 48 hours later no hives, itching or sinus symptoms. Still dealing with fatigue. It did helps constipation problem although I came real close to more than one accident. Not worth the side effects. Has anyone else experienced any if these symptoms?

Hello. I got this script on June 11th. Took 2 pills the 1st night because I am so constipated all the time. Within a few hours, I was literally blowing up the toilet & it lasted for several hours. I thought maybe because I took 2. I continued to take 1 upon waking & same thing every time. Nothing but runny stools for several hours & I cannot leave the house. I also noticed severe bloating afterwards & weight gain. I feel miserable the rest of the day. I have also been feeling shortness of breath & my sinus problems which are horrible anyway, have gotten way worse. I will not take this medication again. If I want to have explosions for several hours, I can drink some milk of magnesium without the other symptoms. I thought I had found cure to my horrible constipation but I would rather stay that way then to have these side effects. Now I am back to trying to find something else. Sighhh!

I started taking Lizness about 1 week ago. Only took about 2 pills on Friday and Monday. I have bad hive all over my body when I noticed that when I atd fruit snacks I would start itching all over withing 5 mins of eating them. Its now 12:29 in the morning June 27 and been off eating fruit snack and my hand is noe itching and breaking out again. I did eat hamburger helper about 9:30pm. I think I need to keep a dairy on me.

Hi, I've been having the same issues. Started taking linzess in April and have noticed my sinuses and allergies have gotten worse. In addition, I have broken out in a horrible rash on my face. I've tried Cortizone and Benedryl cream which both work but if I stop it gets worse and spreads. It looks like poison ivy reaction. I thought it was rosacea (which I've never had) but have noticed it's been since starting linzess. Is this normal? And should I call doc? I do have diarreah and occasional cramping but all other side effects (dizziness and nausea have subsided).

Hello, Brenda! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems you've had with this medication.

Some people have been known to be hypersensitive to this medication, so that may be what you experienced.

Alternatively, as listed by the FDA, hives can also be a side effects, as well as sinusitis, headache and dizziness.

Has anyone else experience this?
