I take 1 Xanax 3 times daily as needed for anxiety. They are 1mg each. And I also have a severe back injury witch I'm taking methadone for pain. I take 3 10mg tablets 2 times a day. My Question is When I'm taking my Xanax in the morning and my methadone should I Only take one of the type of medication and wait for some time before I take the other. I take 1mg of Ativan and Stilnox before heading to bed. I have a habit of having a glass of wine 4 hours prior to taking the meds. Is that enough time to get all the alcohol out of my system before the benzodiazepines kick in? I have been struggling with benzodiazepine addiction for about 9 years now. First needed them for anxiety and social phobias but now it's got to the point my Dr won't help me or even do a taper so I looked online and found these research benzos which are a lot stronger and now my tolerance is so high I can't stop taking them or I cant sleep, i get edgy easily, my heart will start racing for no reason, and no ambition to do anything, etc. I live in Hayden Idaho by the way and I guess I'm just asking for help because the only option left is to continue buying the who knows what's in them benzos (through other means) and possibly die. I can't stop using them alone or cold turkey.
