I have been taking alprazolam 0.5 in the a.m. for several years made by Mylan. It has bern discontinued by the manufacturer. Costco is now carrying Greenstone. Will I notice a difference in the manufacturer? I suffer from PTSD since my son was killed. I take regular alprazolam 0.5 at bedtime by Dava... seems to be fine. My dr. tells me not to change manufacturer on generics. I have been dealing with anxiety attacks and insomnia for years. Recently I have seen my physician to get a " Handle" on my anxiety and sleeplessness. The medication prescribed to me was causing adverse effects. So after contacting my physician and discussing other possible medications to treat my ailment another medication was prescribed to take the place of the previously prescribed TRAZEDONE. Being I go through the VA, I must wait for my meds to be mailed to me, sometimes taking over a week to get to me via mail, suffering in the meantime at night. Said to be from a chemist in a bottle this person gets them regularly and has had white ones before, she hasn't had them in ages and today she came back with the white D10s. Are these real? ## They're too soft to be real. They have the sweet taste but no chemical diazepam-like taste. It could be something else. I’d say I’m pretty knowledgeable concerning Xanax - I lived in Spain for a year where they where the go to treatment of choice so I’ll let you know what they’re like. I was advised by Par Pharmaceutical that Qualitest lorazepam 1mg had been discontinued and no longer distributed. Is this true? Qualitest lorazepam was the only sedative that works for me. Watson, Actavis causes serious side effects (panic attack, more anxiety, dehydration, asthma, heart pounding, can't sleep) with no effectiveness. (no calming effect) Ativan works but it's too expensive ($2500 for 30 ea lorazepam 1mg) and my insurance does not cover it and most pharmacies do not deal with brand Ativan and most insurance do not want to pay it. I heard leading pharma is not effective and some other manufacturers as they cut down 20% of inactive ingredients. Because, there is a tablet with the marking GG 249 that contains 2mgs of Alprazolam, the active ingredient in Xanax. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. ## If you got them from India they are a painkiller called Tydol (brand name) being advertised by quality cures as Xanax generic. If your Doctor changed your medication or added some more, even though they are in the same family it should be allowed ## What Eddy said is correct, usually a change in the dosage, or medication itself is allowed, but your pharmacist should be able to let you know for sure, since these are controlled substances, it might be different. The FDA warns that Xanax, and Valium both carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and mood changes. Substituted for xanax 0.5 mg, what does the label mean? ## Is xanax .5 a strong xanax? ## Xanax contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, this is a Benzodiazepine, used to treat nerve and anxiety disorders and some cases of insomnia. 0.5mgs means it is half a milligram, so no, not a particularly strong dose, but this is a very potent medication, so if you haven't taken it before, it will probably work quite well for you. And "Myl" most likely means the manufacturer "Mylan" Some common side effects you may experience can include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache. ## No, I take .5 twice a day. What ever happened to this drug? It helped me so much to function but also relieved all kinds of pain in my body. I know it is an older drug from the 60's but it was a God send to me. Today I am on pain meds that don't work that well, and my mind races which is exhausting. I have been taking 2 mg daily of Teva clonazepam for a few years. I have been noticing that my memory (both short and long term) is increasingly more affected by the drug. Over the past year I have found myself being on "auto pilot" alot. My pharmacy just switched my prescription to the blue accord clonazepam arbitrarily. Is there any evidence supporting the accord brand being easier on "cognitive fog"? Also, due to this fog, I would like to taper off of benzos for good. So I have a few Roche 10mg diazepam. They are quite hard pressed but do break up quite fast under tongue but very little or no taste. From a psychological stand point this threw me a bit because all diazepam or benzos for that matter have had a slight bitter taste once left to melt under tongue, so I got the trusty test kit out and indeed found they did contain a benzo of some sort. I'd tested them for fentanyl to and it came back negative and they do work very fast in my anxiety and sure enough get me off to sleep just from one tab as opposed to the usual higher dose of actavis. Anyone know what type of benzo is tasteless and works so well? I'm under no illusion they are legitimate diazepam but just asking as the knowledge base here is quite high. Where has this all of a sudden refills of Xanax 1mg, Diazepam 10mg and 5mg appeared from a manufacturer called Gen X Pharma? Has anyone else noticed?
