I got my alprazolam refill. One was a bar and the others are round white tablets with a score line on one side. Apparently these are 4 mg but I've never seen them round before. Could these be xanax and what could be in them? On the packaging it says "xanax with added sleep enhancers". ## What? This medication is bad compared to 1mg Alprazolam. I had to take a higher dose than normal to feel the same level of relief. ## Hi nuuke, how are you? Sorry to hear about your experience with Teva's diazepam. One thing to be aware of when you are taking generic meds, is that they are permitted by the FDA to contain up to 20% more or less of the actual active ingredients. This means that if one generic has -20% of the active ingredient, another generic has +20%, that's a 40% difference in dosages, plus a different set of binders and fillers that effect the absorption rate/bio-availability! It's no wonder everyone reacts differently to these drugs. I could be wrong in assuming this, but that's probably why they make generics so much cheaper as well... since you never reall...

I just got my new clinic it's all inclusive and they dispense TEMPUS alprazolam 2.0mg tablets. Americans really showed their superiority inventing this medication but it really ticks me off how expensive they have become from bogus lawsuits and how hard it is to get. There's no addiction. Maybe if you're taking 20 a day but who would do that? DO NOT DO THAT! I was prescribed Prozac & Xanax 10 years ago by my psychiatrist for depression & severe panic attacks. He started me on 1mg 3 times a day. Around Dec 2005 he increased my daily dose to 1 mg - 4 times a day. I have been a patient of his now for 10 years where I see him every 3 months. Through the years, there has been a few times were I had to call to reschedule my appointment and a couple of times he had to do the same. He would call in my meds for the amount I would need to get me through to my next appointment. This month I had an appointment for May 27th I called to reschedule due to transportation. I just moved to Houston and have suffered from severe anxiety for the past ten plus years and really need to find a psychiatrist or doctor that is willing to prescribe Xanax. Teva No Longer Manufacturers Clonazepam, and I personally feel it is a good thing. Teva, in my opinion, is a low-quality company who actually manufacturers 70% of their products overseas, in cities and communities I don't think you would want to live in. I find the change-over, in terms of most of my medications, including clonazapam 2mh hs to be more effective than before. There are, of course, individual differences, but this is how it is for me personally. It was filled from a pharmacy in Tijuana and has no numbers anywhere but has the 3 scores on both sides. Seems to work for me but I want to make sure it's actual Alprazolam. ## I have the same pills, I get my rx filled from Mexico as well. I doubt they're bad, they just might be generic? My Dr said he prescribed me Vistaril for anxiety, but pharmacy filled with Atarax. The pharmacist told me Vistaril works better and faster for anxiety and the Dr wrote Hydroxyzine HCL. Should I ask for Vistaril next time or is there any difference I would even notice? Thank you very much.

I came across a scary situation the other day that i think most people on lorazepam might be interested in. I take 1.5 mg of lorazepam a day, have been so for 30 years. My doctor has never mentioned any problems with my medication. Then last week i got a call from her that was frantic and uncontrollable, she kept repeating i have to wean down my dosage and kept repeating if you take oxycodone i could die. It was clear that she wasn't listening to one thing i was telling her. Today i called my family doctor to see what's going on with the DEA and he told me that recently they are looking at prescriptions over 1 mg. My first thought is i should get a new doctor. There are all these conspiracy theories about clonazepam generics, the FDA heavily regulates these and cannot have > +/- 20% of active ingredient. I too favor the tevas, but those are the old school generics and I think we just have an emotional attachment/ placebo effect to with regard to them. These placebo/mental effects can cause REAL withdrawal symptoms (my psychiatrist is one of the top pain/anxiety management docs in Texas). Also certain message boards dont even allow generic brand comparisons because there can be no noticeable difference between generic brands in terms of the effectiveness, but there may be placebo effects on addiction/withdrawal. I know I’m not crazy I’ve suffered from panic attacks and anxiety so bad I can hardly get in a car or leave my house. I have taken clonazepam for 8 years and has helped me live my life getting out of the house. For the last 2 years I noticed that it wasn’t working anymore. I was suffering from insomnia and I had bad diarrhea. So I stopped clonazepam just to see and after 8 years you would think I would have withdrawals but no very little. Farmapram 2mg, filled a prescription at ABC Pharmacy in Nuevo Progreso. Can anyone provide information on them please? Are these the same as domestic US medications? ## From what I could gather, Farmapram 2mg is allegedly a form of Alprazolam 2mg from Mexico. I don't know if your pill has any markings, but another Farmapram 1mg tablet I came across with IFA imprinted on one side and scored on the other, was manufactured by Investigación Farmacéutica, Mexico. Been on Sandoz mfr. lorazepam for 10 years; no problems; no need to increase dose. Sandoz stopped mfr. Now, can only get these generic's & Actavis.
