I am stuck in a horrible limbo land. My old doctor suspected I may have MS and suggested I see a neurologist. I agreed and had to wait 18 months to make the appointment because I've spent all my money tracking down every symptom over the past 8 years. Now I got in to see the neuro at Barrows but he only said he has to get MRI scan before he write any prescription. That was fine except he never wrote the order and I spent 3 weeks calling and begging. Finally got order but no scan till June. No there is a 3 mg XR which is extended release but the closest instant would be in liquid form that doctors might use ## No there is not a 3mg Xanax - highest they make is 2mg. Does anyone know about a new law that people ok over 62 can no longer b d prescribed for anyone over 62 for Xanax & Robxin by primarily y care doctor. That is what happened when I went to my 6 months appointment Thursday. I am 65 & I don't feel I am a fall risk. I am a young 65. Never have had any problems with these drugs & don't abuse them. Don't understand not doing on an individual basis not putting all over 62 people all together. I have had Gastric bypass & most drugs don't work well for me. I was recently released from the hospital and was given a lot of anti anxiety medication, large amounts with opiates causing an overdose. Now I am drug tested 2 x a week and it's 52 days later and still testing positive..... Why?... I have been taking clonotril since 1.5 years.Dose has been reduced from 1 mg to .25mg per day,now.If I stop,anxiety due to relational problem reappears.side effects? ## Clonotril contains the active ingredient Clonazepam, which is a Benzodiazepine and these are well known to be habit forming, when used for a long period of time. Thus, an abrupt cessation can result in withdrawal symptoms and rebound effects, such as what you are experiencing. A sudden withdrawal also carries the risk of seizures. My best advise is to consult with your doctor about continuing to do a slow taper of this medication. The 2mg Xanax bars I am prescribed or not strong enough to put me to sleep. I have severe insomnia. I have been trying lots of deffenent mess for over the years. I am up to 4 to 5 wmg Xanax bars a night. So my question is what is stronger to help me to sleep. ## Xanax is not a sleeping medicine! You are taking this drug for all the wrong reasons and at the dosage you say you are taking with little results you soon will develop a tolerance which will be very hard to discontinue from and can make you quite ill. Is the yellow oval shaped (S 901 marked) generic Xanax a poorer quality than other generics of Xanax? I have taken the generic form for a while, but I take it very seldom (only when I'm wired at night and can't sleep) and I usually take only about 1/4 of a tablet. Last time I got a refill, the pill was a light yellow oval shaped tablet with S 901 on it. I can take a whole one of these tablets and not get the effectiveness of 1/4 of the other two generics I had previously. (One of those generics was a little round peach-colored pill, and the other was a small peach-colored oval pill.) When I was a child in the 1950s, my grandmother would ask me to bring her "nerve pills" to her. They were a bright green capsule. I've been taking Dulan 30mg for prevention of panic and anxiety treatment since 4 months, prescribed by my psychiatrist. Is it use harmful for a long period??? My son is 17+.he constantly worries about study& marks.he gets irritated & hyper on small matters.how can he get rid of anxiety, eye pain sinusitis& nervousness & also of frustration due to less marks than his expectations. Anyone ever tried these and do you think they are as effective as the blue g 3721 xanax? ## Both tablets are supposed to contain 1mg of Alrpazolam, the active ingredient in Xanax, however, there can be some slight fluctuations among generic medications and the only to really see if one is going to be effective for you, or if it will cause a problem is to try it. And remember, it is not safe to take any tablets in a manner which is not prescribed. If insufflated, tablets contain fillers and these can create blockages in your lungs, which may put you in serious danger. Hello all I have been established with my Primary Care Dr. For some time now and he has been a blessing but I suffer from major PTSD, Panic Disorder as well as HAD and am on 3mg of Alprazolam per day along with a painkiller I am attempting to slowly wien off of. My question is whether anyone knows who may be able to inform me of a Psychiatrist who is lax in their Benzo prescribing of it is truly neccessary, for me it is. I am also on Busparone which practically ddeos nothing for the panic attacks I suffer from on a day to day basis.
