I've been xanax for 3 yrs the withdrawls are very intense and can be leathal depending on how bad you addiction is. when i have withdrawls im cold sweaty shaking puking the worst feeling ever and sometime have covulsions. if you wanna come off xanax do it slowly and let your doctor know ## Do NOT stop xanax cold turkey, it can kill you! I have been on xanax for 20 years. 1mg at night. I decided I did not want this drug to own me. I cut back to 1/4 of the 1 mg. Big mistake. Head hurt, confused, trouble walking, light headed. I talked to my doctor and he told me to take 1/2 mg for 6 months then go to 1/4 for 6 months. The first two days after I started taking the 1/4 of a mg, I do not remember anything of those two days. I am now into my 4th day off of suboxane. The side effects are getting better. I used .5mg xanax, sometimes I took up to four the first two days off of suboxane. By the end of this week, I feel I should be OK. I am Taking 3 , .5mg of xanax throughout the day and night at the moment. I want to begin to taper off xanax.. What can I expect for side effects from the w/drawl, how fast should I go so that I don't hurt myself. Somepeople seem to have no effects...I doubt I will be THAT lucky! Any suggestions? I have severe combat ptsd along with vertigo and tenitus. It is terrible. Sleeping really sucks. I am trying to get put back on a low dose of clonazepam. In 3 years my doc has tried 15 different anxiety medd on me. I've never abused them and they truly are the only thing that cures my issues. I don't understand what the deal is. I'm prescribed xanax. My doctor gave me a urine test today and said I was positive for opiates. He's sending it to a lab and he said if it was under 50% that I would be ok. So my test is testing for benzo's. I have scripts for them and have not been taking more. But I took two Xanax .5 mg that I am not prescribed for when my best friend died. Will it show up on the test? My test is on July 19 and I took the Xanax June 10. My test is going back 90 days. I have a question about the alcohol part, as I have not drank to excess, maybe two beers a month ago, a couple double vodka seven up a few weeks ago, plus one glass of wine. Is it possible 4 patient who's has been taking 60mg (every morning) of Buspirone regularly for 6+months then, after doctor recommends adding 30mg at night (for limited time to get through sudden situational increase of anxiety) to begin feeling LESS anxiousness within an HOUR of new dose? I have been on xanax for social anxiety and panic attacks since 2004. Dosage would range from 1m 3x a day to .5 3x a day, sometimes more. I am now 34 years old and trying to have a baby = cant be on xanax! I am now on .25 twice a day...which anyone on xanax for a long time know...thats nothing! Main concern is I've been decreasing my methadone in the last 4 months. Coming down from 135 now at 26. It's been rough. When I got down to 43 I was told take it w/ Xanax or klonopin & it'll help w/ the symptoms & help it last longer in ur system. I metabolize methadone very quickly. So it's a lil harder the lower I get. Every urine test given shows it's not in my system but shows I metabolized it. Need help, cause don't want to be off methadone, but be worse off stopping benzos. Hi I'm 25 and I've been taking 10MG of diazepam daily for a few years, usually middle of the day is when I take it for anxiety. Then around 5pm I drink about 1.5 liters (the big bottle) of white wine every evening. I also take Bupropion XL 300MG every morning for depression. Am I at a higher risk of anything bad? I've tried to wean off the Valium a little but it's hard. Also starting to feel really hot all the sudden and sweaty even if I'm sitting down on my couch in a 69 degree room. And sometimes I forget things really fast, has anyone experienced this? Or have helpful advice? Thanks

I just moved to Bismarck and I need to find a good doctor to go to. I have been on a regime of meds that include xanax, subutex, meloxicam, blood pressure (amlodipine), and soma (carisoprodol). Does anyone know of a family doctor that will just continue the meds that I have had a lot of success with now for around a year?

I have terrible anxiety and panic attacks. They control my life in general. I have been prescibed xanax for panic disorder by a couple different doctors. Both one MG and two MG. I first was prescribed them by a psychiatrist that passed. I started getting them from family doctor. My last doctor got in trouble and lost his license for over prescibing so those medical records aren't available and the psychiatrist that died records aren't available. I just need to know of a doctor that will prescribe xanax in the Bloomington area or somewhere close to Martinsville IN.

I've been taking .25 of clonazepam for over ten years for Chronic neck pain. Recently I've come across bad batches or something changed in the medicine and have been getting withdrawal symptoms. My terrifying problem is that its work perfectly for my neck pain and now I need to not only worry about withdrawal but the chronic neck condition that I now can't get relief from.
