I had a cardiac ablation in 2014. Had three episodes since then. My cardiologist prescribed Xanax. When I feel as if I might be going to have an episode, I take 1/4 th extra of 25 mg metoprolol along with 1 Xanax. It has been successful in staving off any episodes. I haven't used that many. When I tried filling my script, it had expired. His new practitioner is telling me, my cardiologist can legally only prescribe Xanax just once in MA. Is this true? ## There seems to be a lot of very strict rules in MA when it comes to controlled medicine but no that doesn't sound right. Many Doctors have said similar comments like that for years, making it clear they will only fill your request once and further refills will need to be provided by a Mental Health provider. So a friend recently picked up his script and was showing me some. Well, about 40% of them had the word xanax and were facing upright and I flipped them over. I have been on xanax 3 mg for almost a month now I stopped cold turkey last week and couldn't handle it by the fifth day. So now I'm back to 3 mg again. How to I tapper off to avaiod such problems again? I was only able to sleep 4 hours a night couldn't eat at all and my eyes were watering and I was just constantly feeling shakey like tremmors. I have a prickly, burning, deep itching on my upper arms that started about 1 month after a deep sunburn. If I touch it, the itching becomes relentless and VERY uncomfortable. I have used cortizone cream, fungal cream, Vicks (as per suggestion on Internet), aloe; but the itching continues. There are also skin-colored bumps that have appeared. The yellow bars that have R039 are generics the way you can tell if any generic Xanax are real is by the number and when you put it in your mouth you get a bad taste right away if you don't taste nothing then they are fake or cut down with something and for the white ones as well they have to have a G 3722 and the actual Xanax will have Xanax on it with a 2 on the back but to test every Xanax you put them in your mouth and get a bad taste right away and won't dissolve that fast ## Thanks for the heads up ace! I ran short on my oxycodone and my pain mananagement doctor won't refill me. I'm experiencing withdraws. The doctor's office won't see me until the 23rd. I left a message today asking to be seen early to discuss how to handle my withdraws. No phone call and it's not after hours. I have some prescribed Valium but my dad also gave me a few 2mgs of Xanax. I've been drinking a ton of water, but I've been taking both of these benzos to help ease my REAL chronic pain and my anxiety during these withdraws. If I have to take a urine or blood test, will it specifically show Xanax & Valium or will it just show up as benzos? I don't want to be kicked out. Yes, it's ridiculous that both medicare and united health care will not pay for this! Or the generic librax. I have both ibs and an ulcer. This works for me. I'm with aarp! Anybody else on here in the same situation? Let's contact them to get help! Isn't that what they are here for? ## I am a State employee with total coverage insurance as well as pharmacy coverage. We just had to change to a new company in January. Librax is not in their Formulary, and is not covered. 90 day supply of brand name is over $6000 and generic is over $900. Even with good wages it is not possible to continue on with the drug. I have an appointment with my doctor in several weeks to try to work on a new medication.

I was alcohol detoxed recently at the hospital for 7 days w/ approx 30 mg valium, seems like every 2 hours, then sent to a hospital type rehab to detox from the valium. This was for about 10 days where they slowly cut me down and then off this med. Got out 7/12/15 and want to test clean for rehab admission. ASAP. When can I expect to test clean after this exorbitant amount of this drug? ## Last Thursday I took 2 mg of valium. It was the first time ever doing this. I have a drug test this Thursday. I drink a ton of water every day, I sweat every day, and I'm very careful of the things I eat. Will it still be in my system?

Hi, I recently lost my psychiatrist of seven years because he moved. I have been on klonopin for that entire time and am afraid that if I start with someone new they will take me off the klonopin because I have a history of abusing pain pills. I've been on xanax for over two years and have had multiple different drug makers for the generic form of this pill. The maker of this particular pill, Qualitest, is the absollute worst. I've had to take three times the amount of pills to feel the same way I do on any other manufactureres pill. It's so bad that we took the bottle back to the pharmacy and told them they can just throw them out becaue it's garbage. Please don't accept xanax from the maker Qualitest. I took 60mg of valium today in a 6 hour period. how long will it take to get out of my system. they were the 10mg blue circle ones and I took 3 at a time because they don't really affect me and I have extreme anxiety from the side effect from my Zoloft. I filled my first prescription last month. I received my confirmation by mail and received the tablets a bit later than they said. I then ordered some more as the first time it went well. I never received a confirmation receipt from them so I emailed them numerous times, about a receipt. They then said it was on its way. I received an email with a tracking number that does not exist. I feel they hook you in the first time then steal your money on your second purchase or possibly 3rd purchase. What is a round orange pill with the number 3? Other numbers not identifiable. ## They are the same as valium. Just a generic form of them that work just as well. Yellow is 5mg & blue is 10mg. I am pretty sure that a white one is just 2.5mgs. (Half of a 5mg) The generic name is diazapam. They are addictive if taken regularly. I take them for panic/anxiety disorder. & to help sleep as long as I didn't need them for a panic attack, if I have trouble cause my pain.meds from pain mgmt do NOTHING for the multiple (6 major cervical & lumbar surgeries plus an implanted spinal cord stimulator that does nothing for pain AT ALL! I need a psychiatrist near Athens Georgia or Gainesville Georgia that will prescribe ativan or klonpin for servere aniexty and panic attacks and I need the phone numbers for them please THANKYOU VERY MUCH ## Instead of those medicines try Buspar it worked to prevent the panic attacks in the first place for me for 4 years. It is not addictive like Klonopin either. Any doctor should be willing to prescribe to you. I am a big guy and take 30mg twice a day. It is generic so cheap too. Hi. I just got a round small pill with a line going through the middle on one side and nothing on the other. I was told by my chemist it was the generic. Is this the same as my old one (pink oval)? ## Never heard of a 0.1MG Alprazolam. When you say "you were told by your chemist" is this a street chemist? We usually go to a pharmacy and speak with Pharmacology Doctor. Then this 'Doctor' gives us a pill with a NDC # embossed on the pill. Along with that comes a printed handout with all the information needed in regards to the pill(s) dispensed. What country are you writing in from? ## What is a oval pink pill with a line through the middle that's about the size of a Benadryl? I need to know of prescribing doctors who would most likely approve of renewing my prescription of Diazepam 10's. I just got a new mental health doctor and she won't authorize my medication even though my previous doctor before her didn't see a problem with it. I was receiving a 90-count when I was unexpectedly cut off- I am in turmoil and my prescription of Percocet 10's was inappropriately cut off as well. I am having serious troubles coping with the lack of benefits these two medications have on my behavior and personality. Does water sweating and niacin help? ## Ativan (Benzodiazepine) can take as long as 1-6wks to go undetected in your urine. Certainly the lesser of the two if you've only taken it a couple of times. In my opinion you should be fine as long you're drinking lots of water (preferably lemon water) & exercising till you sweat each day in between. Fruits, veggies, & wheatgrass shots will also help detox your body, so I'd also suggest staying on top of that as often as you can.
