No registration is required and your identity remains anonymous.I have been unable to get Clozapine (generic for Clozaril) since Feb. 2019 at my regular pharmacy alledgely due to "backorder". I don't believe "backorder" is the real reason. I live in NJ and I recently read that many of the generic drug houses are being investigated due to collusion. They are trying to drive up the prices of these meds and the way to do it is through collusion. I note that Adderall and other psychiatric meds are also on backorder. If this is true they should throw the book at these vulchers. ## I live in Essex County, NJ. As stated in my original report to you, NJ has cracked down on these drug firms who are/were in collusion with one another to drive up the prices on much-needed meds. Without naming any of them, one of the firms named in the indic...
Hi. I have started taking Vraylar 4.5 mgs daily as an antidepressant stimulator. I was wondering if anyone here has or is taking Vraylar for the same reason and if it worked or is working for you as an antidepressant stimulator? Any and what side effects have you experienced? Is it working for you? Did any of you experience urinary incontinence or urinary issues, sleepiness during the whole day? Your advice would help me out so much determining which medications are causing what side effects. Thank you in advance. ## The side effects of Vralyar as listed as possibly including nausea, indigestion, restlessness, weight gain, cough, and dry mouth. I don't see urinary incontinence listed, but it has been known to cause urinary tract infections. Can anyone that's been taking it chime...

Learn more Espiride details here. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Im lost as im suffering from Menapause and heavy night sweats at night. He stopped my premarin and became worse so Dr gave me a script for this.He dis not say that his gonna give me good for stres....Menapause is this gonna stop or did i get a wrong Dr note
What are the side affects of Risperdal? My Dr has me on it for insomnia. He took me off Risperdal due to being drowsy during the day. Now I'm having withdrawal symptoms. Has anyone had similar reactions? ## I'm on risperdol too. It made me tired during school. I only take it at night now. I stopped taking it in the morning on my own and I feel fine. ## There was one report on a national tv channel about a former mental patient taking risperdol, who had gotten worse, developed violent tendencies, and murdered someone - anyone else heard any bad effects of risperdol ## I am not sure how much of those types of actions should be attributed to the drug, it is an antipsychotic, so some people who are on it, are already unstable. Some of the most common side effects include: drowsiness...
My doctor keeps prescribing psychotic drugs to me and all they do is make me feel detached from reality and gain weight. I am on Risperidone .5 mg and the withdrawals are horrible. Can anyone help me? ## Wing yourself off these psychotic meds. They're bad news. Get on a good diet and get yourself some activated charcoal tablets from walmart and some niacin b-6 tablets, drink lots of water, start making yourself some healthy smoothies with spinach and fruit to help the brain mostly. Hemp seeds are good too for your omega 3/6/9. They carry this at walmart in the baking isle. ## Can I ask what issue's are you dealing with before taking the psychotics? ## Hello Ping Pong, If you feel that the medical attention that your provider is giving you is inadequate then I would suggest getti...
Hello forum members. I have a question about psychiatric medication which I was wrongly prescribed. Firstly, I suffer from Chronic Lyme Disease. For those who don't know it is a quite serious bacterial infection that causes profound physical fatigue, muscle pain, cognitive problems, and depression and derealization. However, as I have just learned recently, the physical and psychological aspects of the disease are completely due to the bacteria infection of the brain and body, and will disappear completely once treated with antibiotics, which I am now taking regularly. I was unfortunately only diagnosed properly 3 months ago, after having suffered 5 years of debilitating physical illness. Ok, so my problem is this: Before I was diagnosed, I was suffering the severe psychological eff...
I was forced 6 monthly injections of this. I am dying wih over 50 side effects from this med. It is torture and poison. I gained 100 lbs in 6 months and I only weighed 140 before. One year later Now I got diabetes and I am getting my foot amputated. I have been bed ridden since the second shot. From Lancaster, WI ## Hello, Shane! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems you've had. However, Risperdal is a beneficial medication for many people. It is classified by the FDA as a very potent antipsychotic and for some people, it is the only way they can get their conditions under control and lead a normal life. Weight gain is a well known side effect of it, along with somnolence, drowsiness, sedation and dry mouth. It can cause diabetes, but it's very rare, it occurs in le...
I would like to know which manufacturer of Seroquel works the best? I have Accord and it doesn't work well. Thank you. ## I asked this question a few months ago, thought I would try again. Thank you. ## I was switched to the Accord health version and it's nothing like the one from Astra zenica. I'm wide awake and moody. I need to go back to the Astra zenica one- much better. ## It can really vary from person to person, so there's no way to say which one might be the best for any given person that tries it. Seroquel is used to treat various mental health disorders, as well as some severe cases of insomnia. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and somnolence. Have you found one that works better for you, yet?
My prescriber wants me to take a very expensive psych med called Rexulti (~$1,100/mth), and tells me that Medicaid won't drop me for doing so. If you know Utah politics, they are still fighting ACA Medicaid Expansion and finding ways to reduce Medicaid programs such as PCN. I feel that if I take such an expensive medication, that puts a target on my back to be dropped at the first excuse. The state Medicaid office and pharmacies will not tell me how much each is paying, so I am left to guess if they have worked the price down, or if it's the bullet I think it is. As an alternative, I am thinking of taking its analog Abilify (aririprazole). But the problem is the same, they won't disclose pricing and Utah Medicaid refuses to pay outside Utah such as a Canadian pharmacy that s...
sleep med ## Seroquel is used to treat bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and depression.Side effects include dry mouth, sleepiness, dizziness and constipation. ## what is in it ## I am unsure of the drug composition. Call the drug company AstraZeneca 1-800-237-8898 ## Seroquel contains the active ingredient Quetiapine, on top of treating the conditions that Kim has already mentioned, these medications are sometimes used to help sleep issues in people who did not have success with other treatment options. It may also be used if they have problems sleeping due to one of the conditions mentioned. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi I'm Armando. I started taking vraylar 4.5 mgs. about 2 and a half months ago. After a few days, I started getting quick strong urges to urinate, sometimes not even making it to the restroom on time. Has anyone had similar problems while taking vraylar, I was prescribed it as a booster to make my other 3 antidepressants work better. I would really appreciate it if anyone that has or has had this problem would get back with me. Thank you in advance. ## Vraylar can cause elevated blood sugar as a side effect, and frequent urination, or urinary incontinence are symptoms of that, which is why it is often warned about as being a symptom to watch for in diabetics. Have you consulted your doctor? Have they done any blood work? Usually, blood sugar levels are tested regularly, while someo...
I had a mild case of cannabis induced psychosis over 6 months ago and was on medication for it. But symtoms have gone and off the medication over 4 months now. I have totally quit cannabis as had my eyes Opened too the potency of cannabis of today. I applied for my class 2 and passed a medical but it opened a can of worms as the DVLA wanted a report off my doctor. So wish I never even applied for class 2 now. So now they assessing my ability to drive in general any ideas on what my outcome will be? I'm clean from cannabis use over 6 months neally 7 and don't drink alcohol now also. So would be unfair of them too take away my licence away.
UpdatedMy dad has dementia/Alzheimer's and it's very problematic to get him to take his meds. Does Seroquel and Ativan come in liquid form? ## The Ativan does, but not the Seroquel. What I'd suggest doing is speaking to his doctor about it, to discuss the problem and see what alternative medications can be prescribed that are in liquid form, or perhaps injectable. There are quite a few options available, so they shouldn't have a problem helping you and, if you have to learn to give him a shot, it is pretty simple and the doctor or a nurse can teach you to do so in just a few minutes. Is there anything else I can help with? Learn more Ativan details here. ## Guys stay away from drugs, one time use can effect your life it is not good stay away from any drugs ## Seroquel does come...
side effects when used with a co diagnosis of Asbergers syndrom and schitzoeffective disorder ## I am taking clauseril and would like to know more about this drug ## Clozaril contains the active ingredient Clozapine, it is most commonly used to treat schizophrenia, when other treatments haven't worked. In those with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, it can help decrease the rate of suicidal behavior. It is usually considered a last resort treatment, since it creates a risk of low white blood cell count, risk of seizures and high blood sugar. You can read addition details on MedlinePlus. Is there anything else I can help with?
Is anyone else experiencing weight gain from seroquel? I still work out the same as always, and eat the same way, but I have gained over 20 pounds since i started seroquel 2 months ago. I dont want to stop taking it becasue i finally found a drug that helps, but this is an unacceptable side effect to me, anyone have any tips for dealing with this? ## Tell your doctor he might be able to help. ## I have been taking seroquel for about six months now and I have actually lost 16lbs. I take a dose of 400mg a day and have not hadd any problems. I have not even changed my diet or my exercise habits (which aren't the best). I do not have any side effects maybe it is a combination of the seroquel and other medicines you are taking? Seroquel actually began as a medicine given after surgery as...
thiothixene 5mg tab what are the side effects and just what dose it help with mentaly ## Hello, Cupcake1! How are you? This is an atypical antipsychotic that is used to treat various types of mental health issues. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, sedation, weight gain, dry mouth, vision changes and runny nose. Is there anything else I can help with? ## According to the FDA: [Navane] - The thioxanthenes differ from the phenothiazines [atypical like seroquel] by the replacement of nitrogen in the central ring with a carbon-linked side chain fixed in space in a rigid structural configuration. I was able to access the original PDF from Pfizer at the FDA's web site. Yeah, some people still pay attention...
Dears, I have celiac disease and I need to know if Deanxit pills contain gluten? Thank you. ## Hello Isaac, Unfortunately Deanxit is not an approved drug in the United States as it has been found to be too risky of a medicine. Because of this the drug you are asking about is not something I am able to easily research and find information on, however, I am able to provide a little bit of useful information that may help you find the answer. Deanxit contains the two active ingredients Flupenthixol and Melitracen, both of which are salts and will not trigger anything gluten related. Where you may find issues is with the inactive ingredients of your particular prescription brand. To find out if your drug contains any gluten products, simply look at the inactive ingredients listed on the pac...
I was prescribed Risperdal because I was having grandiose delusions. I was taking 3mg for about 6 months. To say the least it has been a rough 6 months. The drug changed everything about me, it is difficult for me to remember the dynamic person I used to be. Knowing that the delusion disorder was temporary as well as the treatment, I kept putting one foot in front of the other but it was and still is a challenge. I feel like I should win the Oscar for best actress. I have been acting happy but I really feel dead inside. This is an exhausting way of being. I did taper off and it has been 2 weeks since my last dose. The physical withdrawal symptoms have faded but I still feel emotionless and out of it. I have lost 2 pounds, gained 25 total on the drug. If anyone has been through this with...
I have been taking Geodon for a few years now, 20 mg twice daily. Lately I seem to get very anxious after about six hours and need to take three pills daily. My insurance will only send me enough for two pills daily. I know that the half life is very short for Geodon. I am thinking about having my psychiatrist switch me to Abilify which has a long half life. My concern is how difficult it will be to make the switch. Will I still get withdrawal symptoms from Geodon even after my body gets used to Abilify? I would like any input from anyone who has made the switch. ## Hello Terry, Unfortunately because the active ingredients are different it is likely you will experience the withdrawal symptoms to some degree. It is difficult to say to which extend you will be experiencing the symptoms as...
I have a question: I was prescribed Olanzapine 50 mg for Prurigo Nodularis from a dermatologist. I have sores that bother me like crazy for a couple of years now. The Dr said it's stress. I don't agree. Am already on an antidepressant. Has anyone ever heard of being prescribed this med for my condition? Thanks Bon ## Hello Bon, The NIH actually has an article where they say that the exact cause of prurigo nodularis is not known, however, what is known is that scratching them causes them to spread. I'm sure you are already aware of the scratching spreading them but what strikes as odd is that nowhere does the NIH state that a common practice is to prescribe mood enhancers such as olanzapine. Commonly creams and ointments are prescribed and for severe cases dermatologists will...
