Hi there, I accidentally took 40mg of lexapro and am feeling very tired and sleepy. Is there anything I should do? Has anyone else done this and what were their side effects? ## How are you? Did you experience any other adverse effects? When you make such a mistake and are experiencing such symptoms, it is always better to contact your doctor, poison control or your nearest emergency services department. While there are those of us online that are always happy to help, there's nothing we can do if your life would be in danger. The FDA lists the typical overdose symptoms as possibly including nausea, severe drowsiness, hypotension and shallow breathing.

I have been prescribed Urolet and imipramine along with estradiol & progesterone (for estrogen deficiency) to relieve urinary tract irritation (frequency, dysuria) resulting from estrogen deficiency and it's affect on bladder/urinary symptoms as I described. It was prescribed by my gynecologist. The first order of business is to get relief, which I have, but I don't know what the long term plan is. It is written with 12 refills. It seems that the estradiol & progesterone alone did not relieve bladder/urinary symptoms sufficiently, and the Urolet & Imipramine were not sufficient alone. Q: does anyone have side effects from Urolet, or have been prescribed it for long term use?

I've been on cymbalta for years with wonderful results. For the first time in my life I have felt normal. But the last two months I have had increased depression. And I can't really say why. But five days ago I started a new bottle and suddenly I feel better again. Has anyone experiences this? I can't take the generic because it is not effective like the name brand. This experience makes me wonder if the pharmacy mixed the name brand with the generic for the last two months. Seems unbelievable but could it be possible? ## Hello, Emmylou233! How are you? The generic wouldn't have the same markings as the name brand, so you'd be able to tell if there were others in the bottle. You may have just had a rough patch for those 2 months, it happens sometimes, even without th...

Ihave been on cymbalta for 10 years. I tried to taper off but the side effects were like the worse flu I have ever had. I'm am depressed again and feel that it's time for a change. I don't want to increase dosage I want off. I have finally lost the weight I gained over the years on anti depressants and refuse to start gaining again. I'm bipolar so I can be without something. thanks for any help ## Unfortunately, weathering some of the withdrawal effects is likely the only way you're going to be able to stop taking it. Have you consulted your doctor? They may be able to help you set up a better tapering schedule that could minimize withdrawal effects a bit more. ## Hi Inda, I was on Cymbalta for 8 years, it took me 18 months to wean myself off it slowly. Don't rus...

How are you? Those aren't symptoms typical of an allergic reaction. Has this happened before? How long have you been taking this particular Escitalopram? Are you on any other medications? It's has always been difficult for me to find and antidepressant that works for me.. Not sure what to do. I also notice I'm angrier on this medication. I need some input please if anyone is experiencing or just how long it took for Wellbutrin to work for them ?? ## Hello, Glam Ma! How are you? It usually only takes 4 to 5 weeks for a medication such as this to reach its full level of efficacy, so if it isn't working o...

I started taking 10mg Brintellix 2 weeks ago ( also taking lithium). After weaning of mirtazipine - what a nightmare!!!!. I have been constantly sick , suffering insomnia, mood swings, no appetite, etc. Is this normal crossover symptoms and do I give the Brintellix more time?? .I have tried nearly every antidepressant around. Was really hoping this one would be "it". I appreciate any feed back. Thanks ## Hello, Carn! How are you? Yes, those may be withdrawal symptoms coupled with side effects. The only way to find out is to give it a few more weeks and see if things settle down and you start to feel better. You may also experience dizziness, headache and weight changes. If things don't improve after about a month of being on it, then you should inform your doctor. Is there an...

Im using zoloft for 3 years and now ive received accurate tablets for tension headaches. Can i use them together. TIA ## Hello, Tash! How are you? You can, as long as your doctor approves, but the Zoloft may reduce the efficacy of the Codeine. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The typical Zoloft side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## How much is lexapro 30 mg in Zoloft Vermon? I'd been on 10 mg. Lexipro for about 3 years and felt great. But then my doctor switched me over to generic Celexa because the clinic where I get my meds no longer has Lexipro available (Forest Pharmaceuticals no longer supplies it due to costs). Since switching to Celexa, I feel awful - nervous, uptight, and obsessive. I want to try generic Lexapro because I can afford it, but I hear it's not as good as the name brand. Anyone had any luck with it? ## Hello, When it comes to generic medications it is permitted by the FDA to be allowed to contain as much as 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient as well. For some people, these so-called subtle differences are the equivalent of taking a completely different medication that may be absorbed and metabolized differently with...

How many of these pills {Pink Oval pill IP 52 on it} does it take to get a euphoria? Also can these pills be insufflated? ## This tablet will not get you high and it isn't safe to snort any tablet, since they are not made to be used in such a manner. The tablet you mentioned with the marking IP 52 contains 10mgs of Citalopram, which is nothing more than an SSRi antidepressant. Learn more Citalopram details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Rediculius that someone needs to go online to ask IF they can feel high off a pill that they don't even know what it's for. Prescribed for you, take it. If not, then don't. And people wonder why we have so many RX laws! Editor's note: this thread has been locked because it violates our terms of use.

Can Sertraline 100 mg tablets be cut in to four pieces and still be effective? My doctor has given me the okay to try different dosages. 50 mg is not enough and I would like to try 75 mg but Sertraline does not come in that dosage. I have 100 mg tablets and want to break them in half and then cut some of the havles in half to get 75 mg. Will doing this cause a problem with how effective the medication is? ## No, it isn't time released, so cutting them won't have an effect on the efficacy and make them more or less effective. However, there are 25mg tablets, so it may be easier to see if your doctor can prescribe a weeks worth of them to take with half of one of the others. That way your dosing can be more precise, but you aren't paying for a full months worth that you may no...
