I had started having really bad panic attacks and bad anxiety so I went to the doctors and he put me on this. Since I've been taking this medicine it has helped with the attacks but it's made me feel so weird and like I'm not alive. My body knows what it's doing but my mind isn't all there. I forget tasks very easily and start to forget stuff sometimes. My mind is constantly in a battle with itself. I just always ask myself, is this ever going to end? Is this going to get better? I don't know what else to do. Can someone please tell me if this is going to stop? Sometimes I just go to sleep early at night hoping things will be better in the morning but nothing ever changes. I don't have thoughts of suicide at all but I just ...
Hi everyone, I developed anxiety attacks 2 weeks ago due to a relationship problem. I tried to solve too many problems at once associated with the split and couldn't sleep for a long time resulting in my current condition. I'm 37 and never experienced anything like this. It scared me so much that I started having delusions and slight hallucinations and it wouldn't stop. I had horrible thoughts because I believed that I had become insane. I found a great doctor who spent an hour with me and suggested I commence a government initiative called a mental health care plan involving 10 free psychologist visits per year. He prescribed me Prozac 20 mg and Seroquel. The 2nd night I felt so content, calm and happy which continued into the next day after a great sleep. (This included a ...
I've been prescribed Bupropion XL to take 2 150 mg once daily. I feel it's not enough. Has anyone tried cutting the pills in half to add 75mg more a day? Are there any risks associated with it? ## You cannot cut these tablets, the XL means that they are time released and cutting them could cause you to get too much of the medication at once. Learn more Bupropion details here. How long have you been taking it? It does take about 4 to 6 weeks for it to reach its full effect in your body and for you to know if it is going to work for you. So, you may just need to give it a little more time. ## Try getting the 300mg XL instead of taking 2 150mg once a day it could make a big difference!
I am in a recovery clinic and I recently had a urine test come back positve for benzodiapines. I have taken none. I am going from DR to the lab and even the pharmacy trying to get answers as to why. But I have gotten no help. I am on methadone, prozac, vistatil, trazodone and I recently had a really bad touch of bronchitis and I took over the counter meds. Can someone help? Or tell me where to get my answers!! ## Go to the website below, it will prove by a pharmacist that yes you can test positive for benzo's from Vistaril. justanswer.com/pharmacy/4tb3c-vistaril-cause-false-positive-drug-test-benzos.html ## No, none of the medications you've listed have been known to cause false positives for Benzodiazepines. Learn more Benzodiazepine details here. Do you remember what over the c...
Hello, My husband has been depressed for almost 4 years. He can't sleep and and is angry all the time. He's had every test under the sun done but nothing is abnormal on a physical level. He sees a therapist who has prescribed him every type of medication out there and nothing has worked. He's been taking adderrall which works to a point but it does not help the anger. Fast forward to a month ago when he was prescribed Trintellix for the first time. We were both skeptical but it actually worked WONDERS. He was happy, motivated and taking control of his life again. I was over-the-moon because I felt like I finally got my husband back. Today he comes home from his parents in tears and tells me that the Trintellix stopped working. Now we are both so scared that things will go ba...
Plz suggest me what is the use exactly ## It is used to treat various types of mental health issues, including depression. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, anxiety, and weight changes. Has this medication been prescribed for you?
I was on 30mg of mitprtazipine for 18 months, I came off them at the end if January as I could not stand the terrifying nightmares I was having, since then I have suffered with a fatty liver and chronic lower back, pain between my shoulder blades and muscle pain, have tried all methods of relief, chiropractor , osteopath, massage and all kinds of pain relief, nothing so far is having any effect , would like to know if anyone else has suffered anything similar. ## Hi Liz, First and foremost, be aware that all thoughts and opinions expressed are based on my research and should not be mistaken for medical advice. I am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist or doctor. I am truly sorry to hear about all that you have been through. I h...
I have just tapered off Wellbutrin and Cipralex and ramped up from 5mg to 10mg Trintillex. Luckily I wasn't hit with any nausea, which I had been dreading, and have more energy (which for me feels a bit manic compared to the sloth I'm used to). Skin, eye, nose dryness is almost unbearable though. My eyes sting, and even with moisturizer, my face is cracking. Will this ease up as I adjust to the med? Will any oil supplements help? I was terrified to change meds after a previous nightmarish experience. I don't want dehydration to be the make it break for this med. ## Those aren't normal side effects, according to the NIH, but may be due to the combination of stopping the others and then starting this new medication. You may also experience headache, somnolence, and weight ...
Hello. I have been on Lexapro 20mg since July. At my last check up my blood pressure was extremely high and I had gained 17 pounds. My doctor did blood work which came back perfect. She determined it was my Lexapro and changed it to Trintellix. I started it a week ago. I've experienced the nausea but it isn't unbearable. Today, especially this afternoon, I am so grumpy! Agitated. Do you think this is normal? ## Yes, those symptoms can be normal, if you abruptly stop one medication in this class and start another, according to the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, and dry mouth. How are you doing now? Has there been any change? Generally, I've found most side effects to last about 3 weeks, or so.
Is a Citalopram HBR 40 mg white oblong/oval tablet with '0 7' on one side and an 'A' on the other the same as a smaller pink oblong/oval 40mg tablet with '0 6' on one side and an 'A' on the other side? Please respond ASAP! Thank you... ## The tablet with the A 06 marking contains 20mgs of Citalopram, the tablet with the A 07 marking is listed as containing 40mgs of Citalpram, both of which are manufactured by Aurbindo Pharma. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been on Lexapro for a year and a half now 10 mg...I was wondering if anybody has had the side affect of weight gain I have gained 40 lb. since I have been on it..the strange thing is I don't do any binge eating or over eat due to my acid reflux...next doctors appointment I am going to ask to be put down to 5mg...it's so hard to go on the treadmill when you don't have any energy or will power..my anxiety is under control its my depression that gets me down and I just feel like sleeping all day..?? ## Some people have reported weight gain as a side effect and the FDA does not it among the possible ones, though it is not very common. Others are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. What other medications have you tried?
Are paxil and paxil hydrochloride the same thing? I've seen hydrochloride on a pill bottle, but I have never seen it on my prescription bottle before. ## Yes, they are the same, Paxil Hydrochloride is just the longer name for it, the Hydrochloride designates the precise chemical salt it was derived from during manufacturing. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and weight changes. Some pharmacies list it on the labels, some don't. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been using 10mg Brintellix daily for the last week. Last night I also took an Allergex tablet to help with hayfever. I think this had an interaction with the Brintellix - I had difficulty waking up this morning and am feeling very lethargic. I have taken Allergex in the past with only mild sleepiness which wore off by morning. Is this drug interaction safe or will it affect the Brintellix working as it should? Is there another antihistamine that I can take safely with Brintellix?
Updated in BrintellixIs pristiq 25mg equal to effexor xr 37.5mg? Will the pristiq be stronger? Insurance will not pay for effexor but will pay for pristiq. ## When it comes to these medications, it really depends on which one works best for you and the only thing you can do is try the Pristiq to see if it helps you. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight changes. Have you started the Pristiq, yet?
I live in Virginia and desperately need to find a pain management doctor who will treat stomach pain from Crohn's disease. I've contacted numerous doctors in the area to no avail. It's a rare type of pain to treat, but I need pain meds beyond Cymbalta and Neurontin which I'm already on. I'll gladly travel and at this point it doesn't matter if it's covered by my insurance. I really need help finding a doctor to help with my pain.
Updated in Cymbaltamy hematology oncologist prescribe this to me for "hot flashes". I had breast cancer and a total hysterectomy and I can't take hormones ever because my breast cancer was hormone driven. I have severe hot flashes and I'm afraid to take this. ## Did you discuss your concerns about using the medication with your doctor? Venlafaxine is an SNRI antidressant and it can sometimes help with such symptoms. ## IM TAKING VENLAFAXINE 37,5MG FOR 4 MONTHS FOR DEPRESSION.. CAN I STOP TAKING THESE NOW AS IM FEELING MUCH BETTER/
Taking Wellbutrin XL 300mg... Contemplating increasing the dose to 450mg Forfivo. Please share your Forfivo reviews. Thank you. ## They both contain the same active ingredient, so you'd just be changing your dosage. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and nervousness. I can't take this medication, I react badly to it. Can anyone that's taken it chime in with their experience?
I have been on cymbalta 60 mg for several years, recently my doctor prescribed 10mg of doxepin for sleep. I have taken the doxepin before bed and the cymbalta in the morning for 2 days. It didn't help me sleep but I felt dozy and like I don't care both days, like I'm in a capsule by myself. I used the interaction checker and it said that these 2 meds had a high interaction. I've decided not to take a doxepin tonight. I'm interested in some opinions. Thanks ## Yes, there can be risks associated with taking them both, such as developing serotonin syndrome and hyponatremia. This does not, however, mean that they cannot be taken together, but that your doctor does have to carefully consider the prescribed dosages and they should be monitoring you on a regular basis to ch...
Does anyone else have major anxiety while taking Wellbutrin xl ? I started taking 300mg in September and it has lifted my depression immensely . But the anxiety is really getting bad and makes me question every decision I make in day to day life . I feel like I'm going crazy ! Anyone else have this issue or even advice /opinions would be helpful ! ## Unfortunately, the FDA lists anxiety as being one of the most common side effects that this medication is known to cause, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and nervousness. I tried it years ago, for smoking cessation, and it made me feel like I had just drunk several pots of coffee, so I had to stop taking it. Have you informed your doctor?
