The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi my name is shannon I'm 15 and I live in a care home with another young person who takes this medication and staff accidentally game me her meds instead of mine could you tell me what possible side effects I could get? And advice?
I am worry about my medecine i think i got the wrong pills please let me know if i have been taking zoloft for a long time for my depression but this time i got diferent pills why? Before they allways look the same this time i got them at wallgreens ## Hello, Reyna! How are you? What are the markings on the tablets in question? Zoloft is available as both a brand name and a generic, which is called Sertraline, so not every tablet you receive from your pharmacy may look the same, since it is manufactured by several different companies. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. However, I will be happy to double check for you, if you post back with their description and the markings on them. Thank you!
I have not taken this yet and it has been prescribed if my peripheral neuropathy does not improve with the Lyrica, my hands are the worse with osteo in them as well.. I have gained 14 pounds and went from a 36 to a 38 in 6 weeks....How have you found taking amitriptyline and have you gained any or much weight? ## Both of these medications carry the risk of causing weight gain, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. How long have you been taking the Lyrica? Are you on any other medications? ## I have been taking Lyrica for just over 3 months and my dosage has been reduced from 600 mg to 450-300 as I need. It has made a small difference. Some days I just bloat up for no reason and I have balanced out with the weight. I...

I decided to stop taking this drug and am experiencing extreme fatigue and dizziness. Is this to be expected? ## Yes, those can be typical withdrawal effects, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, fever, chills, rebound depression, and anxiety. How long have you been taking it and what was your dosage? Are you on any other medications?
Hello, I've just started taking Lexam 10 escitalopram. I'm a 22 year old female being treated for depression/anxiety. I'm wondering if anyone else who has taken Lexam has experienced dilated pupils? My pupils are huge and have not died down. I've only been on it for 2 days and I had quite a bad headache for an hour or two, which has now completely gone. Apart from feeling nauseous and dizzy which I've been told is normal, I was quite concerned and wondering if it's normal? Thanks ## This NIH does list various optical side effects as being caused by this medication, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight gain. It may take about 4 to 5 weeks for such side effects to go away, but they should gradually improve in the i...
I have been on Cymbalta for 3 months. I was prescribed it for nerve pain. I take it 2x daily but after reading about the withdrawal symptoms i eased into it. I still only take it once daily. I noticed a raise in my blood pressure at the start and odd headaches. I always take it with milk just to help with stomach issues. As far as how fast it works, I think all medicines react different to each individual. This medicine has helped tremendously with nerve pain. Good luck. ## Yes, we are all different, so while the FDA and NIH can list details regarding certain common side effects, there is no way to know how any medication will affect any given person. The typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, weight changes, and mood swings. Are yo...
I've been on Cymbalta for 3 years for depression and anxiety. I am about 30-40 lbs overweight but I can't seem to loose weight no mater what I do. Has anyone else ran into this problem or no what to do to loose the weight. I take 120 mg per day ## Yes, weight gain, or the inability to lose weight can be a normal side effect of most medications in this class according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood swings. Do you also make sure to get plenty of exercise and to eat as healthy as possible? Are you on any other medications?
I have both Anxiety and Depression, tried several SSRIs that didn't work. Dr put me on Celexa 10mg beginning April 1st...he warned me it would be rough at first. THAT is the truth... I have been SO much worse with anxiety... So I've only been on that low dose for 2 weeks. I feel SO discouraged because am not having ANY signs of feeling one bit better. Could you please share your experiences with me about how long it took. I'd really appreciate it, thanks. ## Yes, it can take about 4 to 5 weeks for this class of medications to reach their full level of efficacy in your body and for you to know how well it may, or may not work for you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood changes, and weight changes. How are ...
Could citalopram Hbr 20 mg tab cause itching of the skin on arms, head and face? Warning on bottle mentions "avoid prolonged sunlight". ## Hi Vickie, If it says to avoid prolonged sunlight, the medication probably causes some sort of Photosensitivity. Photosensitivity is a skin reaction (i.e. rash) that occurs after exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or an artificial light source. This could explain the very symptoms you're describing. I do also want to note that itching, rashes, swelling, hives or blisters, are all listed as severe side effects of Citalopram; in which case it would probably be best to let your doctor know about this as soon as possible. Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a699001.html#side-effects I hope this information helps! ## Wh...
Last night i took my first dose of 50mg Zoloft. This is my first anti-anxiety med i've ever taken and it was prescribed to me by my doctor. The side effects started about 3 hours after taking it at 6:30pm and i had panic attacks for hours with little sleep and dizziness. I've lost my appetite and it has been 24 hours now since the dose. I contacted my doctor and they said i could call it off cold turkey since it was only one dose and i shouldn't see any withdrawal side effects. I'm just wondering when the side effects of the first dose will leave my body and i can go back to being normal? I was bedridden all day and i'm only 5'3" and 130 pounds. I've been drinking water to try and flush it out of me but i am still pretty dizzy and no sign of sleep for the...
I have been on Citalopram for a few years, on 30 mg at most but in the last year have been weaned down to 10mg (could not go any lower or come off completely due to side effects). Recently I have had problems acquiring my monthly pack of 10mg and so found an old pack of 20mg to tide me over until I can get my usual 10mg. Since taking the 20 I have been having dizziness and nausea for almost a week - spells in work where I feel as if I might black out and generally feeling off balance - Is this normal? I don't remember experiencing such effects when I switched from 10 upwards originally, just the first time I ever took them.... Can anyone give any advice? ## Yes, any time you raise the dosage, it is possible to experience side effects, even if you didn't experience them before, b...

I started nustrate in October and I've been on my period ever since. I'm so annoyed and very frustrated. Will they ever stop or I must just stop this injection?? #depressed ## Unfortunately, that can happen to some people that use this hormonal contraceptive. If it's more than just spotting and isn't stopping, you may need to switch to a different one. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Nustrate#hey I have been using nustrate for the past 3 years now I'm having irregular periods (long periods)and I'm trying to get pregnant my question is that is it possible 4 me to get pregnant? Because I once heard that nurstrate take long to be removed in yo...
white round pill with lower case e and number 31 on the other. ## Hi there. So my wife takes generic lexapro which is escitalopram. Last month when we picked up her meds the cane in a bottle and the pills were slightly larger that before, still very small but different. She had one of the pills left from the tab card and I popped it out and stuck it in the bottle. She just finished this bottle and the last pill was the one I'd stuck in and popped out from the old tab card. However I am just nervous that I somehow forgot and maybe that is not he right pill. I've looked on every site and cannot find anything even remotely close to what this pill looks like. Before I give it to her I want to make sure it's the right med. it's a very tiny white pill with a lowercase e on the...
My doc has been taking me off 75 mg. dose for about the past two months two weeks. I have finished what he thinks is a reasonable time to wean me off. I have been off the drug since last Thursday..I am having withdrawal at different times of the day...just when I think I am feeling better something else crops up...now I am having indigestion, chills, lethargy...anyone else experience these things when coming off a tranquilizer and how long did it take you to feel better ? ## i've just posted asking about length of time for imipramine withdrawal. I see your post was ages ago. I've done 3 days of sleeping, nausea, headache and generally feeling very unwell. How much longer have got like this?! ## It has taken me two years to reduce my 150mg imipramine to 85mg per day. You should c...
Nardil is a hard medication to be on. I was wondering if there are any other antidepressants that have the same effect as Nardil without the side effects? ## You will not find any drug without side effects, the class of drug does not matter. How badly they affect you depends on your body and your metabolism. ## I have been on Nardil for three months now. I am taking 45mg a day. Is this a typical dose? ## I was on Nardil for about 6 years and it did work for my aniety / panic attacks very well. However my physiatrist said there are much cleaner meds available now for my type of condition. I was hesitant because the Nardil worked well but the limitations and constant worry of food reactions with Nardil were overwhelming. Nardil is a heavy hitter . I am now on pristiq and it works well, no...
I have been on 50mg for about 2 years now, but suddenly am more aggitated than normal, could I need a larger dose or change ..? ## Hi Bj, From the looks of things it sounds like your body has become quite tolerant to Zoloft. Having been on it for about 2 years can build up a tolerance even slightly enough to make that much of a difference. If you would like more information on Zoloft, please take a look at the link below... Since you probably have become tolerant to this drug, I personally would not go for a larger dosage, because you will eventually become tolerant to an even larger amount. I cannot tell you what to take or how much to consume because I am not an MD, but it would certainly be a good idea to change the drug and/or cycle Zoloft on and off every few weeks or so to countera...
