I am on citalopram 10mg. I am only taking it temporarily as I want to get therapy instead of staying on AD's. I want to stop it after 3 weeks, by then I'll have the help I need. Can I stop cold turkey after being on it for 3 weeks??

Is Prestiq a sulfur based drug? I have been on Prestiq for a week and noticed a difference in stabilization of mood but have had sensitive skin and a mild rash. I am taking other prescribed drugs and know that I'm allergic to sulfur based drugs. Thank you ## I have just discovered I am allergic to corn and all of their by products. Is there any medication for depression that doesn't have corn starch in it. ## The only natural anti-depressant that has no corn starch is St John's Wort (Hypericum). You need to check with your doctor if it conflicts with your medication (if you are taking any) or any other health condition before you try it. If you take 30mgs. at the begining of your treatment instead of 15mgs. you will experience much less somnolence... has anyone else found this out? ## My Doc said the same thing. The lower the dose the more the sedative effect. Wierd stuff. I'm on 30 and it knocked my a$$ out the first night I took it. Not as bad now that I have been on if for a week

I have been given Fluoxetine capsules and I'm wondering if they are placebos? I opened one up and to me looks white powdery and kinda fluffy is this Fluoxetine? ## Do you have a picture? Or can you describe the capsule? I have Fluoxetine capsules in 20mg and 40mg. I do not take them as they did not work for my body but I can tell you if you have legitimate capsules.

I have Graves disease (thyroid problems) and I am taking an SSRI anti-depressant called Lexapro after being changed from Zoloft and I have been having the Tremors for the last 9 months. I have seen a Neurologist and my GP who can't work out why these temors are happening. Can someone please let me know of the newer classes of medications that don't cause the Tremors please, because these tremors are happening 24 hours a day and I can't do the things that I used to be able to do. I have had bad falls because of this and now I mostly stay in bed where up to 9 months ago I was a very high functioning worman.

The PA stated that i would have to take half a pill the first 6 days then the whole pill after that. does it make you drowsy? do you take it at night or during the day? ## The corrected spelling of this medication is Lexapro. depression ## I think you mean Cymbalta ## does it work ## Cymbalta contains the active ingredient Duloxetine. Just like any medication, it works wel for some people and there are others who gain no benefit by using it. The only way to find out is by trying it. Has your doctor suggested you use it?

Does Cymbalta work? ## I tried Cymbalta and it worked well for endurance and pain but not so well for depression so I had to go back to Effexor and Wellbutrin. For endurance and pain I take an Ixel or milnacipran every other day (gotten from a British source). It is an antidepressant that is supposed to be equal in enhancing serotonin and norepinephrine.

It's Trazodone 50 mg (trade names Desyrel, Molipaxin, Deprax, Trittico, Thombran, Trialodine, Trazorel) which is a psychoactive compound with sedative, anxiolytic, and antidepressant properties. The various manufacturers claim that the antidepressant becomes active in the first week of therapy. Trazodone has less prominent anticholinergic (dry mouth, constipation, tachycardia) and adrenolytic (hypotension, etc) side effects than most tricyclic antidepressants. prozac blue capsule? ## From my records I located a capsule with 4346 on it and 10 mg on the bottom. This pill is Fluoxetine 40 mg, which is for the treatment of major depression (including pediatric depression), obsessive-compulsive disorder (in both adult and pediatric populations), bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa, panic disorder and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. Does anyone have information about children on lexapro. My daughter just started taking it. She is 8 years old ## um yes i take lexapro since i was 15 in it should help her alot and i am now going on 17 ## my friends taken it since he was 9 and has never had a bad experience with it. as long as her doctor has taken the correct actions in diagnosing it she'll be ok. ## My research and the Doctor that treated my child, Celexa has been found to be the best for children under 18yr.
