I would like to know why I was prescribed this? ## This medication combines the antipsychotic medication Perphenazine with the antidepressant Amitriptyline. I am a 75 year old male. As long as I can remember I have had problems with concentration, forgetting, start a project & not completing it, uneasy around people, find it difficult to carry on a conversation, i can go and ask directions when driving and cannot remember what I was told. I have checked the systems for ADHA on the Internet and I have about all the systems. I was slow in school as when I read something I could not remember what I had read. I have spoken to a number of Doctors on this but they more or less shrug it off. About 15 years ago a Doctor did put me on 50mg of Zoloft per day. I am still on 50mg and have at times bumped it up to 100mg but noticed no change. ANY ONE with any suggestions or have experienced some of what I have experienced I would sincerely appreciat...

peach oval shaped pill with a score and 9 D. the other side has A. ## I realize that the zero does look odd, however, this imprint is actually A 06 and this tablet contains 20mgs of Citalopram, the active ingredient in Celexa. I've been taking Citalopram 20 mg for two weeks now, for anxiety. It took around 7 days to kick in, but I suffered anxiety symptoms in second week and had a very mild stomach ache and bloated feeling. Has anyone had a similar experience? ## Citalopram, the active ingredient in Celexa, is an antidepressant. It can take several weeks to reach its full effect and help relieve your anxiety, if it does not work in the next 1 to 2 weeks, please make sure to contact your doctor. And yes, the things you are experiencing can be normal side effects of this medication, you may also experience symptoms that include dizziness and headache.
