Is it the same or am I going to start side effects again? ## Hello diane, Both Zytomil and Lexamil contain the same active ingredient Escitalopram Oxalate, so to some degree yes the drugs are the same. What may seperate these pills is what inactive ingredients they use which will determine a number of things including how long it takes you to absorb the drug, flavor, release timing, administration technique etc. I don't see a reason that you would start experiencing adverse effects so long as you don't react poorly to the new inactive ingredients. If you do start to have problems inform your doctor as soon as you can to ensure that you are still safe to administer the medication. I hope you have a great day, le...
I'm in a hospital paralyzed from my T-6 down becuz of an abscess which was MRSA on that vertebrae in my spine! Well my Dr came in this morning and told me he's not going to give me anymore narcotic pain meds! He claims I'm testing positive for meth! My question is, cymbalta's the ONLY new drug I'm taking. Does Cymbalta cause false positives for methamphetamine? ## I'm also testing positive for methamphetamines and I take Cymbalta - I have never taken methamphetamines in my life. ## I took my first drug test today after being put on this damn antidepressant and the doctor called and told me I need blood work cause I tested positive for methamphetamines, and that's the only new drug I've been put on. I'm very upset. ## Can Azithromycin cause a false pos...
I've have been taking sertraline (zoloft) for years under prescription by a doctor. Now I moved to another country and decided to order it online at combitic global caplet pvt ltd in india. They delivered the pills quickly in an envelope without packaging or users information. I'm not quite sure though, this is the real thing. I've been taking the pills for 3 weeks now and I'm not really sure they work. I sometimes have these contracting sensations at my temples that are typical for depression and that I usually don't have with sertraline. Anyone with some input? ## Are there any markings on the tablets? That is what would enable someone to research them for you to see what they contain. The FDA classifies Sertraline as an SSRI antidepressant and lists its typical si...
I have been taking Burpropion HCL SR 150mg for about 4 months now and I recently got my refill for the next three months. However, instead of saying "Bupropion HCL SR 150MG Tablet" It now says "G.E. Bupropion HCL SR 150MG Tablet". My pills also used to be white with a distinct chemical smell, but these new pills are purple and have a fruity smell. I just want to make sure it isn't a change in composition as I have been taking these routinely for my major depressive disorder and have seen great progress and don't want to have a regression. Thanks for any info! ## Are there any markings on them? When initials, or an abbreviation is listed, before a drug name, it usually stands for the manufacturer. Bupropion may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mo...
Hi, iv only been taking 15mg Mirtazapine for a week and doubled the dose to 30mg last night. It had helped me sleep up until i doubled the dose. Although i wanted to sleep i had terrible aching in my hip, knee and shoulder bones. I am still aching today but not as bad. I may think its my bones andit may even be muscular but the pain was so intence i just could not sleep. I have been experiencing muscle twitching whilst taking the 15mg but that was mild, this was unbearable. Has any one else experienced this please? Thanks ## That type of aching may be the sign of a serious side effect, so you should contact your doctor about it. Learn more Mirtazapine details here. It might be that it's just not the right medication for you and you may need to try something else. Have you looked into...
I tapered off Effexor XR and onto 10mg Brintellix. No withdrawal symptoms - seamless transition. I have been on Brintellix now for about 3 weeks. I have to say I feel more alert, my anxiety is low, my sleep is better. So far so good. I had to stop taking Tramadol and Buspar to avoid the interaction but have had no need for the Buspar since and I can just take another opiod pain killer if I need to. Did not experience the nausea that seems to be the most common side effect. Keep your fingers crossed. ## Awesome! I am very glad that it's working so well for you. Can you post back and update me? Thanks! Do you have any questions or concerns? ## Hi I will be trying Brintellix soon to get ease the depression and anxiety from tapering Effexor. How are you doing now. I need help desperatel...
My pharmacy just switched manufacturers of my prescription trazodone 50mg. It used to be made by apotex now it is pliva and I am finding that the new pills are having little to no effect and I am starting to suffer discontinuation syndrome. I talked to my pharmacist and doctor and neither one could tell me what was causing this. I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who could shed some light on the subject. ## Yes, I can. Under Federal Law, by way of the Hatch Watchman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from their name brand counterparts by as much as plus or minus 20% in the active ingredient. Many people are not aware of this, including doctors, but the FDA considers this to be a very minor difference that does not affect the therapeutic dosing of medications. So,...
My Dr.has me on Welbutren and Zoloft but the Zoloft makes me feel like a zombi, and so tired so I just take Welbutren now. What should I tell my Dr.? ## Hello, Jim! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. The FDA does list those symptoms as being possible side effects to Zoloft, when someone is new to taking it. You may also experience dizziness, dry mouth, mood swing and weight changes. However, side effects usually taper off in severity and go away after a month or so, once your body gets used to the medication. As to what to tell you doctor, if you really don't want to take it, because you don't like the way it makes you feel, then just tell them that. You aren't obligated to take anything your doctor prescribes, the final choice on that is alwa...
Hi I've been on venlafaxine for years the amneal brand. Well now they have stopped making it. Can anyone recommend a brand that causes the least amount of side effects. My pharmacy says they only carry the zydus brand. I'm going to have to try it but I'd rather not be a guinea pig one more time. Any opinions out there on Best brands. Thank you ## Venlafaxine Extended Release by Osmotica Pharmaceutical is exactly the same as name brand, don’t know the best brand in regular venlafaxine.
Can anyone confirm what this is? I found a small white oval pill with C 12 on one side. ## A related thread titled white pill with c12 states that this is Citalopram 20 mg but I have not been able to confirm yet. Are you writing in from Canada?
I've been feeling very hungry recently, but all the time even after meals. I started my meds anti deps two weeks ago and im bloated and hungry all the time I feel that I need to pass wind top and bottom all the time but it feels trapped? Anyone experienced this :( ## Hello, Gabbie! How are you? That's a very odd side effect for the Nuzak/Fluoxetine, it is actually more prone to causing weight loss, though the flatulence can happen. Is it the only medication you take? Side effects from the Nuzak should taper off after about a month, once your body adjusts to the medication. ## Hi Verwon, I am doing alot better now, thanks for replying to my message. I have lost some weight, taking 20mg per day - been back to my Dr for check up because i am concerned about my weight lost over the ...
I was prescribed brintellix. Best medication ever!! I have tried Cymbalta, Zoloft, Lexapro (omg, never again) Clonidine, Ativan, Prazosin, Ambien, and the list goes on. Brintellix did wonders to decresse my anxieyy. BUT the dose is too strong!! At 5mg I am a zombie, I feel motivated and clear headed, but can't move or get out of bed, I cut the pill in half and only take it every other day and the med works best for me this way. But where can I actually fill my prescription at? I also before I actually started this medication, went on this site and was warned that it was a difficult medication to get. So I went to the pharmacy every month for 6 months and it would take weeks before I could get the medication! I just stocked the medication for 6 months. Now when I go to the pharmacy a...
Hi, was just wondering if anyone has ever had a psychotic episode from going off of zolfoft, I have and it was pure hell. My kids didn't think they would ever see me again. Please if anyone has had anything close to to this, please let me know of your experience Thanks ## Did you doctor say it was caused by going off the Zoloft? A sudden cessation, if you've been taking it for a long period of time, can cause depression and rebound effects, but a complete psychotic break would be very unusual. ## No my doctor didn't tell me that's what it was from, but my shrink did. Also, another friend of mie had the same thing happen. So yes, it's very common with Zoloft ## I as well had a psychotic episode after being prescribed Zoloft. In 1996, I was 22 and I only took it for 2 ...
A109 20 mg dark blue oval capsule ## I also got the blue generic fluoxetine made by northstar and they made me crazy!!! I just called the manufacturer and they are taking this seriously: they are sending me a kit to send back the pills and they will consult with the FDA. Please call them to tell them the pills are bad. Northstar RX LLC Toll Free: 1-800-206-7821 ## I, too, received the Northstar fluoxetine and have been taking it for 8 days and was wondering what was wrong with me. It's like taking nothing--all the depression, weepiness, ups and downs are back. Please help me. ## CALL THEM!!! And call your doctor!! Get new "clean" pills and tell your doctor what happened. Northstar has been extremely diligent in reporting this to the appropriate authorities. You have to help ...
Hopefully someone sees this, I've never been on this site before. My doctor increased my Wellbutrin to 450 mg about 2 months ago. I feel like I am slowly losing it, and I never thought that maybe it could be the Wellbutrin. I'm always agitated. I'm never comfortable, never relaxed. I am doing obsessive things like washing my hands repeatedly, making sure everything in the room is perfectly neat and straight. I can't cry anymore. I seem perfectly fine when I talk to people, but my mind feels like a mess. I'm focused and I do what I need to do every day, but I feel no joy, just agitation. I always feel like I need to do something and I'm always nervous about something, even if there's nothing to be nervous about. Has anyone ever taken Wellbutrin and experienced...
i found it at my new house just wondering what its for. ## This is Amitriptyline 25mgs, a generic for the antidepressant Elavil. Some of the most common side effects include: extreme weight gain, dry mouth, nausea and drowsiness. ## No it's GG two Capt. GG then at the bottom it's 44 small med dark green. Round. I found it in a bag with old medicine my father had. Before he pass three years ago.
Mail order changed my citalopram manufacturer from Amneal to Aurobindo. Have noticed side effect after the change. Should this be happening? Anyone els have this issue with manufacturer change? ## JC - I haven't been taking this med, but i wanted to share with you that it IS in fact possible to experience different effects between generic manufacturers. Even though ratios of active ingredients are supposed to be the same, the inert (inactive) ingredients are allowed to differ by a certain margin. Not to mention different manufacturing standards / facilities / etc. Sometimes if you mention this to your doctor or pharmacist, they can try to obtain the product from the other manufacturer, but this does not always work - it's all about supply chain and sometimes a specific manufactu...
Hi....I was given a 2 week sample of Trintellix to add to my Paxil 60mg. I'm one to do all the research that's possible & also one to read all the reviews available before starting a new medication when it comes to my mental health. I'm very hesitant after reading so many negative reviews with people complaining of severe nausea and stomach pain. I'm absolutely cannot handle vomiting.... I'd rather take a beating than to vomit. However, can I get some advice about this situation? Is it really worth the awful side effects? Should I also ask my doctor to prescribe me some antibiotics nausea medication to take along with the Trintellix? I certainly could use some advice on this. Thanks! ## There are quite a few typos in my original message I see. I did not mean to p...
Has anybody experienced hair loss or thinning after being on zoloft? Nobody has baldness or hair loss in my family and I have been losing hair since I started zoloft. My hair is also getting thinner and I am getting the whole receding hair line thing. My dad and his dad do not even have that nor any of my older brothers. I hate these damned side effects!! ## From what I was able to gather hair loss is not listed as a side effect from taking Zoloft. Are you on any other medications? ## Well if you look at the side effects for zoloft (sentraline) it does say that hair loss is a sign of overdose. That means it DOES have the ability to cause hair loss. The question is at what dose? SSRIs are definitely known to cause hair loss. ## I apologize for that you are right, hair loss is listed as a...
