Walgreens switched the brand to Actavis generic this month and I feel extremely depressed. I plan on seeking medical attention from my doctor right away-- but I'd like to hear about your experiences to not feel so alone. I started taking Actavis around January 15th and I've noticed my mood has completely shifted and no longer feel like myself. PAR seemed to work well for me. Before I switched brands my depression was manageable but now it's out of control. I constantly feel angry, annoyed, and highly irritated and it scares me. Can generic brands of the same exact medication cause your mental health to decline? ## Hi Emma, Sorry to hear about your reaction ...
I was on prozac for two years -- a gradual increase from 0 to 60mg. At first it worked and then it seemed to stop working (for depression). I started to become more depressed than I was before (loss of appetite, sleeping more, no motivation etc.) and my doctor decided to switch me from Prozac to Effexor saying that the transition would be fine. I went from taking 60mg of prozac one day to the next taking 225mg of Effexor. The result was not good. For the next couple days I had extremely blurred vision/ I couldn't go outside because the sun hurt my eyes. It was hard for me to go from lying down to standing up and four days after starting the 225mg I had a seizure in the shower. Despite this, my doctor insisted that this was because I wasn't eating/hydrating properly and sleeping ...

Hello, it just came to my attention that I may have taken too much of my medication (Lexipro 15mg) I think I've taken about 30mg total? I forgot that I had taken it earlier today and when I got home I took some more without really thinking until after I took it. I then asked my mom in hopes that she'd say that I didn't take it this morning but she said that I did so now I'm worried, should go to the ER?? Please let me know as soon as possible.. ## An occasional double dose of Lexapro would not be considered an overdose, though it may cause worsened side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and drowsiness. Lexapro is an SSRI, so unless you have a serious adverse reaction, emergency medical treatment is likely not necessary. But, if you aren't sure, call your ...

I would rather have Xanax. They work better than the Venlafaxine 75mg pill marked 93 7382. What are your thoughts between the two? ## These are different classes of medications, Xanax is a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and some pain disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and dry mouth. It can usually be taken as needed, and will have some effect within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it. Venlafaxine, however, is an SNRI, it is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and depression. Additionally, rather than taking it as needed, it must be taken on a regular basis, and will take about a month to reach its full level of efficacy in your body. Its side effects may include na...

What side effects have you concerned? ...
I was taking a blue pill...and my new script looks totally different. Scared to take it! Has anyone seen these? ## Look up the pill on the internet by the number on it. See if it is the same drug. Most likely it is made from a different company. That happens sometimes when pharmacies change drug providers. hope this helps. ## What are the markings on the capsule? If you can post back with this additional information, I will gladly research this for you. As Dj stated, however, this is normal, pharmacies do not always carry the same generic medication, depending on what company was offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply. Fluoxetine is an SSRI antidepressant, that is also used to treat anxiety, its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, he...

Pink oval antidepressant ## I recently received a refill from my mail order pharmacy for Citalopram HBR tablets, 20 mg. The first prescription I had were pink oval tablets, but this next one was round white tablets, the size of a 325mg bayer aspirin. Embossed on the tablet, from what I can make out is, WP1 3177. Is the same type of drug or could it be the wrong prescription?? ## This is the same medication and same dosage, just made by a different company that your last fill. Many pharmacies end up switching which one they carry according to what company had the cheapest available when they needed to restock. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and sweating. ## I was taken off lexapro and put on citalopram hbr 20mg. After being on the generic anti...

I was on Citalopram from August 2017 to June 2018. I decided to taper off of them because I didn’t like how I felt on them. I have had a pill for just over 5 weeks now. While on the medicine, I was definitely less panicked. However, I had a pretty constant feeling of being out of it, like being drugged or spaced out. I had this before I started the medicine so I was hoping it would help. The other really bad symptom I had was this weird dizziness and vertigo. I was dizzy before I started, but a few weeks in I remember I had rapid feeling in my head before bed like my head was moving. This turned into an awful vertigo sensation that hits hard when I lay down. It feels like I’m spinning or my body parts are moving or being pulled, and makes it hard to sleep sometimes. Anyway, ...
My grandmother is prescribed 10mg Oxycodone, 4 times daily. Every month she goes into pain management and she gets a False-Negative for Oxycodone. This woman has been through hell and is trying to just get to the next day. She takes a list of medicines: Bupropion, Lisinopril, Atorvastatin, Citalopram, Carvedilol, Omeprazole, and 81mg Aspirin; she must take anywhere from 2-4 pills per medication daily. She sweats a lot, drinks plenty of water daily, doesn't eat much, and is trying her best to perform daily tasks due to her 5th shoulder surgery and heart valve replacement surgery. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want her to keep stressing over this without answers. ## My grandmother went to the pain clinic the day after I posted this question, she took with her a jump drive...
I am taking 25 MG at night and sometimes 25 MG in the day time. I have very short temper and I get angry very fast. I am a very busy man at the office and have to handle a variety of things simultaneously. When I take the medicine I feel ok. My only worry is that if I continue too long I will get addicted to it and will that be bad? Also need to know if I take this tab regularly will it affect my libido? ## I tried that, made me suicidal..... My dad was on it, he sold his land for nothing and now rents at age 74. this medicine may have its uses, but not with me. ## Mike, while your suicidal tendencies are possible on this medication, they are very rare and not representative of the typical user. As to your dad's actions, there is really no way to say whether or not the medication ha...
FYI: The drug manufacturer Watson bought out Activist. Watson "made a business decision" to no longer produce the Watson generic brand of Wellbutrin and only produce the Activist version. Watson was the brand that worked for me (I've tried many) so it's unfortunate they have made this business decision. I've called the company to request they continue to manufacture the Watson version. Anyone going through the same situation may want to call Watson 1-800-272-5525. *** if anyone takes a generic that doesn't work they should notify the F.D.A. 1-855-543-3784. ## Thank you for sharing this info Trace. Ever since Actavis bought out Watson, it seems like most of their meds have all started to go down hill. I mean if they're making these kinds of business decisions ...
