I'm 36 and a single father. I have tried antidepressants for low motivation and depression. No luck. I've done vyvance and it helped me more than anything so far. I would like to find a dr that will not give me a hard way to go with this in Louisville Ky. Any help would be very appreciated. ## Well, when you're talking about controlled substances, doctors have no choice but to be careful about prescribing them. Their prescribing practices for these types of things are monitored very closely. You'll also experience more problems if you go in asking for a specific medication, especially if it's never been prescribed for you before. Do you have a doctor that you see regularly? If so, then your best bet is to usually see them and discuss the problem to see what they reco...

I have been on 20mg of citalopram for 3months for axiety helped a bit but av got terible jaw clensing an still feel anxious will this get better xx ## No, it isn't likely to change if it's been 3 months, it usually only takes 4 to 6 weeks for it to reach its full effectiveness in the body and for the side effects to taper off. Learn more Citalopram details here. You may need a higher dosage, or with the jaw clenching, it may not be the right medication for you and you may need to try something else. Have you had any dental pain from it?

I am also on 25 mills of Zoloft, twice daily. My doctor sucks so please don't tell me to call him because he is useless!! ## Hello, I'm sorry to hear about your situation, I personally haven't had experience with Remeron withdrawal, but if I can recommend anything to help speed up the process of detoxing your body, it would be to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables while staying hydrated throughout the day. Also, make sure you are getting plenty of rest and try to get at least 1 hour of exercise in each day to help sweat out any toxins and get your lymphatic system flowing (which will s...

It seems like I get sometimes severe anxiety if I miss a dose of Viibryd. I am 40mg's. Seems like it will start within 5 hours or so. Also I have burped A LOT since being on it and constipation seems to be worsening! I plan to speak the doctor about it but I wanted to know if anyone else had any of these problems. I hate to stop taking it because it seems to work better than anythink I habve taken so far. ## Yes, the anxiety is most likely a withdrawal effect and they can occur very fast with these types of medications. The gas can happen with almost any medication, you may be able to mitigate it by making sure that you aren't gulping when you take it and make sure you are taking with plenty of water. However, the constipation isn't a common side effect, so yes you may want ...

I feel betrayed that I didn't research this medication as a healthcare professional before I took this med. I have GAD and ADD. From what I've read this is going to be a miserable "detox". As a nurse I would call it that. I can be a few hours late and have symptoms; dizzy, electric feelings in my head, muddy thoughts. I have 4 children and work full-time, I hate thinking this medication because of "discontinuation symptoms" has so much control over my life. The FDA should def step up and put more warning labels on this matter. ## I am very sorry about what you're going through, I know that stopping these types of medications can be very difficult. However, it is all of these types of medications, not just Pristiq, these problems occur with anything that effec...

taking cymbalta and having terrible nightmares.is this a side effect? ## I have had depression for as long as I can remember, I'm 29. I've been on Celexa for about 3 years now and it has helped a lot, but for the past 2 weeks its gotten really bad. And to top it all off i've been having horrible nightmares, which make me feel worst. the dreams are so vivid and scary. Does it have anything to do with my depression?? ## Have either one of you consulted your doctors? The nightmares could be related to the medication, the depression, or both and only a doctor will be able to help you determine that. Sakura, your body can get used to any medication that you take for a long period of time and this means the current dosage may lose its effectiveness. You may require a dosage adjust...

just started VIIBRYD today.... only took 5mg.. can i have a glass of wine with dinner and is cheese aloud ## Hi Cassandra, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, since Viibryd does have an undesirable interaction with alcohol in general. Another Viibryd user actually posted a thread on here trying to warn people about the effects of mixing the two. You can read more on that here: /Discuss/Be-VERY-cautious-mixing-alcohol-with-Viibryd-229026.htm I also haven't come across any information stating that you cannot have cheese with Viibryd. But there is a food interaction you may want to be aware of. I went ahead and quoted the precautions below: "ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: Food enhances the oral bioavailability of vilazodone. According to the product labeling, vilazodone blood concent...

I took 10mg of Lexapro about 7 years ago for a few months and it worked great. I was able to get off it for 7 years and now my anxiety is back and my dr. put me back on 10 mg of Lexapro (because we knew it had worked in the past) and I feel like my heart is going to explode when I take it. I get a constant ache/pain right over my heart and a pain in my left elbow that is constant. I also feel like my joints are stiff and hard to move. I have stopped taking Lexapro for fear that the side effects are dangerous. Any ideas why I was able to take it 7 yrs. ago and now I can't tolerate it? ## HI KTB, The only conclusion that I can come to is that you may have been using a different brand of Lexapro that contained different inactive ingredients. Or, perhaps your body chemistry/lifestyle ch...
